I planted a Star Magnolia 6-7years ago. I watched it do nothing for 3 years. I then moved it and again nothing for a few years. A long stick (maybe 3 feet)and then when I thought it had died I replanted it one more time and it took off like a rocket. Now it is 4-5 tall and 5 spindly branches and maybe 30 leaves. It has been in this location for now 2+ years. Advise please. Is it like my lilacs that are doing great now that I have stopped feeding them.
