potofgold - wish I had something I could trade you for the lilac babies. Anyways, I thought you might be interested in this link on lilacs. From my perspective, I like the part about propagating from cuttings, etc. They also have info about pruning them too, look under Maintenance. Enjoy ~ Suzi :)
