I never thought to see Pistashio trees in Alabama, but here is a couple of Pistachio trees I found and I was thinking about taking some cuttings and seeing if I could get them to root. Does anybody grow Pistashio or any suggestions on what would be the best way and materials to try and root them in?

Are these Pistachio trees nut bearing or they the flowering or Chinese Pistachios.
The nut bearing Pistachio, Pistacia vera, need 1,000 chill hours to break dormancy. They need soils with a high lime content. The sexes are on separate trees so you need one of each. They don't do well in areas with spring rains and high humidity. They tend to get diseases that weaken them or kill them.
