Nurseries in San Antonio?

Htop, I grabbed a bunch of native plants and called my neighbor to see if he wanted some plants. Of course he said he did, so I bought more!

That's great. What I like is the way they have the information about the native plants on the little signs right by the plants as well as the way they have a lot of them planted in flowerbeds so you can see their growth habit. Of course, a lot of the natives are just starting to take off. This spring has been so cool that they are a little late in doing so. I have been trying to talk them into doing mail order. There are so many people who do not live in San Antonio who ask me about where I bought a lot of my plants. They just don't want to mess with it.

Another thing I like is that I will tell them about a plant that they usually don't carry and they will order some. As an example, I bought a tall growing calalily that is hardy to 10 degrees. I tested it out this winter and told them it was indeed frost hardy so they ordered some for other people to buy.

FYI: Schumaker's in New Braunfels usually has a good stock of Erythrina Bidwilli available for sale. Give them a call!

Thanks Dave, I'll give them a call. Bill went to New Brunsfels today, I should have gone with him and made him stop in SA to get a plant(he would LOVE that, lol). It would only be a little bit out of the way.
