Im-Ur e-mail from Troy ?

Hughesville, MO(Zone 5a)

This morning I received a letter from someone who says he is the editor of a gardening newsletter called Im-Ur I think. His name is Troy or ?? Troy. Did anyone else get this? Dave, what is your opinion and have you ever heard of this person &/or website? Just curious. No, I'm not going to leave DG & probably don't even want to get involved in another one. He says he has been reading my posts on GW and thinks I would make a good advisor or something to that effect. HA! HA! What I don't know about plants and gardening would fill many more volumes than what I do know.

> Dave, what is your opinion

I have no opinion on this, except that I personally dislike received
unsolicited E-mails, and automatically distrust anyone who does.

There are, of course, occasional exceptions.

> and have you ever heard of this person &/or website?

No.

Leaflady- I recieved the same e-mail a number of weeks ago, there was a post on GW as many did, most just ignored it, the general consensus was it was some sort of advertising ploy, and the addresses were harvested off of GW. I had also gotten an advertisement from a Chinese garden-related import company encourageing me to check out their website in pretty poor english, somethings just don't translate well. I just deleted it all. Thankfully Dave fixed it so that our e-mails can't be easily harvested here!!

I recieved the same email about 2 months ago. It was before I came to the best garden site in the world! So, I think my email addy was harvested at the other site I was on. I just ignored it too! Bye, Lisa
