CLOSED: Who's my Canlidate? Help

(Zone 7a)

I'm looking for 1 or 2 people.
I have some seeds I have gathered and would like to grow them (experiment). Unfortunately I have entirely too many things I have to still germinate. Can someone start some seeds and just let me know if they turn out what I want them to be?

1. Bidens Aristosa
2. Several different Tagetes Species
3. Few other Beautiful Annual seeds...

Anybody Somebody Pleeeaaassseeeeee... Who owes me a favor?? LOL LOL!

I'd love to give it a try Kim! Just let me know. thanks, Linda

Now Kim, don't set me up with poison ivy, I've already got it one time this year. LOL

(Zone 7a)

ha ha ha I've never seen poison ivy so I think your safe!

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

If you want them Kim I'll mail them back - no problem. I cannot wait - this is to much fun. Mitch

(Zone 7a)

Noooooo maybe just a few seeds and pictures...he he he
Some are rare..I just hate to start more stuff now. I'm really kidding myself with this bag of annuals. Last year I literally started at least one type of seed everyday during the summer. Some things were very small seedlings and I'm surprised to see them coming back with a vengeance!! LOL Like...Mimulus Ringens, Achillea sibirica var. camtschatica, Phygelius x Rectus...

(Zone 7a)

I have the Moonraker Phygelius...and some say I'm zone 6. But I monitor my own weather! LMBO!!! Those Phygelius act like they were never covered by 2 feet of snow...he he he

Thanks Kim! Sounds like fun! I have a digital camera also so I can post pictures of the progress. I hope they grow OK for us. Off to do some germinating research!

If you want to try raise your seeds in really fun sun, count on me.

(Zone 7a)

Antonio, would you be interested in growing some American Wildflowers? I absolutely LOVE Wildflowers. Last year I started soooo many. It was a lot of work but exciting. Because I was trying to pot up every one that germinated...LOL There was one plant which was goregeous and I waited with Bated Breath! I could see the flowers coming and the foliage was great! The rabits had a field day on my plants. I got up the next morning and soooo many were gone. After that a swore I didn't like Bunnies anymore...LOL LOL! I have lots of Wildflower seeds that I would love to see what they are. The rabbits, beavers, and groundhogs are my biggests problems. They eat every darn thing..LMK what you think?

Campinas, Brazil(Zone 9b)

(Zone 7a)

Great!! Will you post pictures when they get bigger?

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

I will once they get to where they look a little bigger . . .

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

okay how do you do brug seeds? i got a few i want to get going but all i know is to soak and peel and try not to rip seeds.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

This is what she emailed over to me - I used this and a thread that said to place in a very sunny window covered with plastic to keep the moist in and the dry air out.

....I soak mine for 24 hours. Then remove the barky substance from the seed. It'll look like a datura seed. Then I keep warm and moist. Be paitent and they will germinate. Hope this helps
Kim
