I'll sure add to this one Lilypon. Not only the Prairie peeps were impressed with the fine Vancouver Island sites, but this mountain-locked interior gal couldn't get enough of the ocean waterfront places.

Taking the water Taxi was a blast (first time DD has seen/been on salt water).
Seeing ships up close was also neat.:)
.just bend your necks (it's saved in a place I don't know how to rotate yet)...Even the little lighthouse was exciting to see!
Fisherman's Wharf (I think...hard looking at little thumbnails)....the harbor seals were such a treat. I hope someone will post their pics.

Thanks Dawn.....she really did love your province and REALLY didn't want to leave (tears were shed on the plane). The gardens she did love but she'd rather have me spend MY money at places other than greenhouses! ;) Actually there were times at her age I was the same (but the family love of plants eventually caught up with me ;)

I really hope that some can add pics of the seals and the gorgeous architecture that Victoria is also known/treasured for as well.

Boy, those pictures of Beacon Hill Park sure bring back memories. I used to spend an awful lot of time there with my friends and my brothers as a young teenager. Sometimes I still get homesick for B.C., even though I only spent 2 1/2 years there. Thank you all for posting all of these lovely photos. --Ginny

Lovely pics Donna......I'm so glad you posted Beacon's Park since I was mall crawling with DD when you ladies visited it.
ginnylynn: I still love Beacon Hill Park and I only spent a summer there when my Mom was marking Govt. Exams! I was eight and my Dad and I played cowboys and Indians around those great rocks and grasses. Such Fun. It is quite unique to the west coast even. I love Victoria altogether. Our family has had many good times there. What a treat to have a Round Up. Dawn
