New Spider. ID?
CLOSED: Mr. Fangs
California Trap Door? Closest I can find.
Supposed to be 3/4" to 1" body length (female)...how big is your guy?
edited to say that the image I have in my Audubon book is more delicate than the big spiders in the Google images. The googled Trapdoors look nothing like the one in my book...hmmmm....

This big lllll
I should have known!
Wow Monterey....or should I say...scarey! LOL Great pictures! I'm not really afraid of spiders....or any insect....except bees....they don't like me. Probably cause I'm afraid...kind of a vicious circle I guess. LOL.
Shouldn't that be Mrs. Fangs? or Ms. Fangs? She probably ate Mr. Fangs.
I like to look at these older ID pages. Recently learned about BugGuide.net. Send the picture in there and you will surely get an ID, especially with such excellent photos. MN4
Thanks-Rich
