I know Hydrogen Peroxide. But I've read 1 Tablespoon per gallon AND per QUART! Which is best?

watering solution for seedlings and germinating
Not to mention that 1 part hydrogen peroxide in 20 parts water I saw on another thread..... that's nearly 1 Tb per cup!
I'm going with 1 Tb. to 1 qt. water. So far, so good.
I've been using 1 oz per quart (2TBSP) or 1/2 cup HP per gallon.
You can use a 5% solution as well and that would be what critterologlist mentions (actually 19 parts water and one part HP) which works to be roughly 1TBSP in 1 1/4 cups water.
what is this water/HP solution supposed to do? This is the first I've heard of it. Jenny
Well, it puts oxygen back in the soil. Can actually help overwatered plants.
It also cuts down on fungi. I'm sure Caron can tell us better.
Sidney
when do you use it? For germinating?
