I can hardly wait to have this beauty blooming in my garden!

I'm currently growing out "Vixen" + ?, and hopefully will have beautiful blooms this Summer (fingers crossed).

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Karyn, she is really pretty. Her color is wonderful. Just what my yard is needing. That and some green grass instead of all the brown.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Wow, CC your bloom is beautiful. I hope mine will look like it when it gets warmer weather.

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Hi CC! I love Vixen and yours is a standout and oh so dark!

Jones Creek, TX(Zone 9a)

Those are both very pretty and either one would be dark enough for me..(Vixen or Harlot).........LOL.......I like the blooms Ada it is real pretty also and I am wondering since It's been a day has it changed in color any.
It is so dainty looking and I will be watching for more of it this summer.

Dee

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

It hasn't changed any yet, Dee

My Vixen bloom still doesn't have long tendrils or as dark as CC"s or Shirley's

I love the big blooms on this Calla. This one is smaller

The leaves on this little seedling is shaped different from any of my others.

I'll bet Vixen will be much darker once it gets hot outside and stays that way. Love the Calla. I guess I should bring mine into the greenhouse and let them get started.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Shirley, I hope Vixen darkens up. This Calla is the giant one. I don't know the name of it. They say it'll get six feet tall. Time will tell. LOL If you want one, I have one extra.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

This is a bloom on Rosabelle. It's very light in color also

Yes, yes. I'd love one. If everything works out, I'll be sending you something in the next week or so and I'll slip some postage in with it. Thanks a bunch.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

No Postage, please. I'll get it to you.

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Ada, is this the Calla Lily that you're referring to? http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/768/index.html

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Shirley1, no but I have that one also. This one has the spotted leaves.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks Ada. Did you get my email?

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

I sure did, Shirley.

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Is this one a closer match? http://www.goldenstatebulb.com/otherpages/white.html

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

No, Shirley1. This is it.http://www.plantdelights.com/Catalog/Current/Detail/03695.html
The first one you showed had the name but the leaves were green.

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

WOW, Zantedeschia aethiopica 'White Giant' is a beauty and very exotic looking!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Gosh, look at all the Susie brugs on this thread. I wonder how many great brugs she is responsible for (Cala's Tropicals). It seems not a week goes by that someone on one of the brug forums does not post a picture of a special brug and it always ends up being from a Susie seed.

Ada, your Vixen has the shape of Georgia Peach if memeroy serves me correctly! I wonder if the tags got mixed up????

Speaking of CaIa, LOL, I love your spotted leaves on your giant Calla. I have calla invasion here in my yard. I can't get the colored ones to grow at all, and the white ones take over and reseed themselves all over. I wonder if the spotted one would love it here also.

You must track that seedling for us Ada. I love the leaves. Are you sure it is not a datura. Do not ask me why it reminds me of a datura. LOL!! I have only gorwn a few in my life.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Kell, it's definately not a Datura. I bought the Calla from someone in California. I wish I could leave my Callas in the ground here but it gets too cold.

You're right about Calla's plants and seeds. There's so many of them shown here on the Brug forum.

Gratiot, WI(Zone 5b)

Ada, everytime I see Calla's I think of my Mother. They were in her wedding bouquet and I've always loved them for that and their obvious beauty.

Hope you're doing well and taking it easy on the husband.

Richard T.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Richard, you could also use these spotted leaves in a wedding bouquet, they would be so great. Add a bit of whimsy!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

This is a Calla like the one I have on Ebay. Wow look at that price!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Gosh Ada, that is gorgeous and so tall. Hefty price, for sure.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

You're right, Shirley. Somebody wants that one bad. LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

And it is for a 4 inch pot. Amazing. Quick Ada, propagate yours. LOL

Gratiot, WI(Zone 5b)

how would that thing fit in a 4" pot? Ada, I'll give you sixty one.....

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

LOL Rich. Mine was in a 4" pot when I purchased it but it grows fast.

Kell, I should have bought more of them. They multiply pretty good.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Ada, I love your giant Cala. I have the white one that has been around for years and I love it.........the blooms last so long. I keep them in a 40 gal pot and therefore I don't have much trouble with them spreading. LOL.....it would take a giant vase to hold your blooms but they must be outstanding to see them in bloom in your garden.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Here the big old whites, though beautiful, are weeds. I hate them. They pop up everywhere. Though I have seen old clumps of them and they are just so lovely. If I had a big yard I would love to have mature clumps all over, especially at night. I also love having them as cut flowers. I just hate having them popping up all over.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Thanks, Frannie.

Kell, it gets too cold here to leave them in the ground for winter.
