Spring?

Now look, ml;d is GOOD ! If the temps stay like they are and we have precip, that will keep it from getting so hot so fast, and hopefully we will not suffer from drought.

Think positive.

I read TX Gardener and take those predictions/predicaments as always for
"someone else".

Anyway, just cuz "they" (LOL, the royal they) say it, don't mean its true!

The bradford pears just suddenly popped out in bloom today, and we saw our first redbuds as well. Just saw some baby mockingbirds of the Lord Mockinbirds who lord it oer our place today as well!

Tra~la, tra~lee !! Spring is here!!!

Has anyone a pecan tree leafed out??? I have been told that until the pecan trees are very obviously leafing out, old man winter still has surprises up his sleeve. I've only been paying attention to the pecans vs. last frost for a few years but, so far, it's held true. One year, my early peaches and nectarines were in full fruit before the pecans leafed out. Sure enough, along came a hard enough frost to eliminate every fruit on those trees. It was great year for nuts, though!
