Carmen

Lafayette, IN(Zone 5a)

OMG-I must have one of those (my maiden name is Carmen!). It would fit right in with the rest of my 'family name' plants!

if there are any cuttings left -- I would love to get one.

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

These are on their way to the Post Office as I type

Darius - cuttings from all of Judy's

Sequee - cuttings from all of Judy's

MaVie - cuttings from all of Judy's

JanetS - cuttings from all of Judy's

starlight1153 - cuttings from all of Judy's

Maxine - cuttings from all of Judy's

PerennialGirl - Judy's Apricot for her Red Epi

To be blunt... I got tired of dealing with these things so I just stuff all the cuttings I had taken into the above envelopes.

I'll have to get feedback from the above people to see if they were in good condition when they arrived, before I mail more.

I'm closing this thread and will reopen when I have more cuttings to send.

Judy

Bowersville, GA(Zone 7b)

I have Red and Fushia Christmas Catus and White of
(Purple as Judy called hers) Thanksgiving if any one wants a cutting.

I would like to get a cutting of Apricot, yellow or any that I don't have.
Thanks, Mallie

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

MallieB - I reopened the thread for you. Good Luck in your trading.

Okay all you 'beautiful cactus' people. I have two cacti of the Christmas variety, but I don't want to trade because it's been so long since they bloomed that I don't even remember what color they are! So let me in on the secret to getting all those beautiful blooms. What gives? Maybe I need to repot? I don't do that very often (or, at all, actually. Bad mom.). I have one that grows and grows and looks very healthy, but it doesn't bloom for me. I have another one that I must have thought was pretty when I bought it, but it's been so long I don't remember. It grows slowly, though I do fertilize it, and no blooms. I have another cutting of a peach colored one from my mother-in-law in Tennessee. Her's blooms furiously and beautifully (like Judy's... also in Tennessee... coincidence?... I think not.) After almost two years, it finally has a bud at the end of its growth. It is now growing well, finally, and actually has another 'arm' coming out.
I want details. What am I doing wrong? STart another thread if you don't want to post this hear. Just wanted to get your attention.

Pixydish - the key to getting blooms is short chilly days. I leave mine on the porch as long as I can and they normally come into the house in the nick of time. The pictures I posted were of the plants still on the porch. I have all of mine in hanging pots and treat them just like I do my other house plants. I water everything when I realize one of them is starting to wilt. Picky plants wouldn't last long with me. lol lol

Mallie, I just took another piece off of my yellow cactus, but will wait to see if it roots. I have some off now, but only 1 has rooted so far, and that is Judy's.

Will let you know if and when they root.

Maxine

Thanks, Judy! So I need to keep mine outside until it starts to freeze? I can certainly accomodate this! Thanks.

Gosh, wish I had seen this. I would love a red christmas cactus. If anyone has some left at the end of this maybe I could trade a piece. I have a pink and white bloom christmas cactus I could trade a piece of.

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

Maxine - I'm sorry I made a mistake and did not mail your package as stated above, but I will get it out the early part of next week.
