We had sun for a few hours yesterday. Thought it would be cheery to share a few flowers growing around my house with you guys who are still so cold.
Harbingers of Spring!
Lovely! We have had snow all day. See very little sun anymore.
Thanks for sharing.
those first flowers are beautiful kell
Give names! These plants you are showing us are gorgeous Kell. Need names please! lol
Yes, do tell, do tell!
kell how ever do you keep up with all those plants.
Easily Doris, none of them are in my yard. LOL
Well, I will have to look them up.......... I am sure someone out there knows what their real names are. I only know the general names like daisy, saucer magnolia, camellia, and flowering plum.
Oh good grief!!! LOL
You cheated lololol! Still want names though hehehe
I knew the Magnolia and Flwrg Plum, as I have them. Needed to see them blooming tho'!!
You nut, you're typing too fast......
Gloria, not Gloira
Sorry Gloria!!
When I said around my house, I meant in my neighborhood! I would love to have them all, but no room! Actually it isbetter to have them so close and not have to water them!
Kell, you have a point! lol
Kell, I am so jealous of you, your pictures are wonderful, makes me hungry for springtime, do you live in the country?
Linda

What's that sweat pea thingy in the first couple of pics?
Gosh, Kelley. It seems like you have late April at your place already mid February LOL Its at least two months, until the Magnolia begin to flower in my neighbours garden. I bet they become large trees in Calif. Here they grows into something that looks like small apple trees, but beautiful, though, when covered in flowers. Does the leaves also begin to show at the end of the blooming phase in your neighbourhood?
All I can say is WOW! Looks fantastic, and I'm green with envy :)
Wow! from snow covered Michigan! Hurry spring!!
Bonnie
Hi from snow covered Ohio also. To be 16 tonite! brrr...
It is better that they are at the neighbors Kell. They are loaded with spidermites, ask me how I know? We have crabapple trees, lilacs, wisteria, weeping cherry, flowering peach, etc.
lol
Beautiful pictures, Kell.
Not only are your pictures a sight for sore eyes, but I can "smell" all the flower's heavenly scent permeating through the computer screen! :~)
Kell, which variety of Rose is that? It is literally covered in a blanket of blooms!!
Zone envy. oriole
awesome Kell!!! Come on Spring.
The first two look like Hardenbergia, and is the last one a camelia or rose?
Very nice show Kell, you have such lovely plants
kell I am so jealous, what beautiful flowers, ohio cheers you make us all like
it's Spring
Yes Pudgy!! Here the Hardengergia is actually called Harbinger of Spring. The last is a winter blooming camellia. It does look like a rose!
Great pictures, Kell. I especially like the closeup of the flowering ornamental fruit. Such great detail. I wish I had one of those trees so I could have a vase full of blooms in the house at this time of year.
I have never seen so many Camelias on a bush before. I love those but don't have a shady space in the garden for one.
LOL, here the hardenbergia is called Happy Wanderer.
Thanks for sharing kell, seeing gorgeous photos like this can sure lift your spirits on a cold February morning.
I have one lonely yellow crocus blooming, guess that's MY cheer for early color! Great pictures Kell.
LOL Bjs!!! A small but at last it is a grand start!
Pudgy, it is a wanderer isn't it! Wherever I see it growing, it just goes on and on. The trouble with it is it bloom period is short and the vine itself I find ugly. So I am happy to enjoy it in others' yards. A gardener voyeur! LOL
THANK YOU Plantfiend for reminding be about getting some of these branches to enjoy inside. I am so confused these days and addled from all the stress I have been under, that I am forgetting my usual habits. I always go to the farmers' market about now and get huge sprays of unopened fruit tree limbs and even forsythia. I just love having them burst forth in my house.
