Cinnabor, I guess from what I remember when I read over the material, even a little can cause you land to be polluted. I had just bought a huge bag of it and had used it the day before I read on here how bad it was. I was so angry. When I dig in the ground here where I tossed handfuls of it, I always think of it and try to hold my breath. LOL!! Why I do not know.

My DH took it to the toxic dump off for me. I wanted it out of my house. There are other brands to use I guess that do not have the toxic metals in it.

Doris, the salt in the softened water will eventually hurt your plants. I'm glad you have the ability to bypass the softener now :)

Guess what???? I forgot I was only going to use the Algoflash on 2 of my plants and used it on everything. I don't know whether to give credit to Spring, my new shelving with lights, or the Algoflash. All of the above I guess. All of my plants look great. I have been using the Algoflash every watering and just decided I better not do that.

So, I screwed up. Sorry. Jeanette

While I haven't used Algoflash on brugs, that's all I had in the basement the last 2 years used it on everything. Seedlings, cactus, cuttings of various things and pelargoniums and petunias overwintering down there. Everyone was happy with lush green foliage and the geraniums and petunias bloomed through the winter. I ran out last summer and haven't replaced it but it did fine for me.

btw, my begonias loved it. It is mineral based so that must be why. I had 7 tuberous begonias in one tray. 2 weeks later those 7 begonias fill a whole shelf. Jeanette
