It won't be long before I can pot these up
More little seedlings
You are in the brug business Ada. Lookin' good.
Lookin good. Good luck with your babies.
Jeremiah
They are looking really good Ada. Can't wait to see every one of them with blooms hanging from them.
You can bet, I won't be bored this summer. LOL
Dear Ada,
Looks like you're going strong! I wish you the best with your babies.
Jackie
Thanks, Jackie. I sure hope they grow something fantastic.
Thanks, Jeremiah. I planted your seeds today.
They look terrific. So happy and healthy. No wonder you did not answer my offer. We should have a brug contest on who grows the most bruglings for the year 2005!
Good luck with them ada. I will have some more for you soon.
Jeremiah
They look great Ada. I don't envy all the holes you are going to have to dig though. Are you going to plant them in the ground?
Ada you are really going to have your hands full this summer. They look wonderful
The look good Ada! I hope, you will get something pretty out of them.
Thanks all. Yes, that will be a lot of holes to be dug and about a ton of fertilizer. LOL
oh they are so cute. oh my you have your hands full this spring. wow
okay i am going to try my hand at seeds. gonna look on ebay.
is there something wrong with the peaches and cream?? you said they should be green??? curious.
All of the variegated Brugs seeds I've grown has been white. Not enough cholorphyll (sp) and they die. These were P&C X VP and maybe if they'd been VP X P&C, they would've been green. Maybe Monika can answer that.
I would of never thought to use aluminum pans. Especially the ones you get with the lids, how clever you are. From now on, I'm saving all mine, to use next year. A lot of the foil pan has a lip that folds over the plastic cover to seal them. Thanks for this post.
Are you planning on selling your brugs, or are they for your own entertainment.
As everyone has said that's a lot of planting. I wish you the very best with all your new brugs.
Linda
Here's wishing that there are some real gems there! You'll have fun watching their growth! Good luck!
Bonnie
What are you gunna do with them all????
I meant to ask if you are keeping the albino's for a while or are they toast?
Shirley, I'm going to keep the albino's until they kill over. It should would be nice if one or two would live.
CC, I'll send you half so you can water them. LOL
Tonny, every year is exciting since i became addicted to Brugs. LOL
Linda, I like the tin foil pans because of the plastic cover. I buy them at the Dollar Tree Stores. I sell a few to some around here every once in awhile. Someday, maybe soon, I'll get set up to sell.
Thanks, Bonnie.
Thanks Ada. I figured you would hang on to them until the last one is gone. It's too bad this happens with the variagated brugs offspring, but only when they used as the mother plant, am I right? Using them as a pollen donor doesn't produce the albino's does it?
Shirley, I think that's what I had heard Monika say. The bloom I pollinated VP with the P&C got blown off in a high winds storm.
Oh well, next year. Thanks.
And I can't wait. LOL
You go!
Ada, at what stage do you plant yours. I usually do after the second or third set of leaves? They are looking great! Keep having to come back and look lol. I just love little babies. I'll be posting some of your babies later on when I get to it. They are doing wonderful!
Julie
Julie, glad to hear they're growing good for you. I pot them up as I can get to them. LOL Usually the second set of leaves.
Oh good, that's what I'll be doing today!!! Hope I can post them today :)
Boiling some water on the stove now :-)
P.S. Glad the DH isn't here, he'd probably think I was crazy and probably anyone else I tell that I boiled my dirt!!! LOLOL Who care's right? lol
Right.
I have a bunch of seedlings of my own and some of Kell's that I need to get potted up, but my problem still remains.....where to put them. If I put up one more light....Jim is going to pitch a fit. I have one, but I don't think the seedlings would be worth the consequences. I better just hope they can make it a few days longer until I get out to the greenhouse.
lol Shirley! I have now got 5 grow lights. I would have never thought I'd be loving plants like I do now. It really is good therapy & inspiration for me. And like on another thread, there was quote that even made me have tears whelp in my eyes...it went like this...
"Gardening is a way of showing you believe in tomorrow."
I like that saying. Thanks.
