Gretchen, I hope you find this thread again - I've been searching for the thread re the Black Kow. I want to send a pic of my 'dirt' pile.................if Dave wanted to give us a nice perk, wouldn't you love to be able to flag threads?? I really spend lots of time looking for threads. Don't tell me there is a way to flag, duh, if so, please tell me where to locate the option...
Sherry...you know you can 'watch threads'...I think they are kept and you can go back to them later...I haven't really tried it that way yet to search, but I have heard others say it. The 'watch thread' is right on top of the 'post a reply to this thread'
Thanks, Margie!! I did know to watch threads but I have like a **bazillion** watched threads and sometimes I never find the one I was looking for, whew!!
And, you know how we are, sometimes we will go off on a b-day thread, with something vitally important, and, poof, I never can find it again. I have the same problem on other subscription lists, but, of course, I can flag the posts for later reply, or move it to a folder. I wish we could do that with DG because I'd like to hang on to certain threads for when I need them - I've saved links, but then I forget why I was saving them and have to read a whole boat load to find what I was looking for, ya know??!!
Sherry....sometimes if a post is really good, I will copy and paste it and put in a separete file....under Gardening notes...then I can go back to it whenever I would like.
Hahahaha, Margie, you are so organized, I envy that skill!! But, I will add that I receive in the range of 1,000 e-mails a day. I own several subscription lists, tiny compared to DG, but my lists are more intimate, in that everyone knows just about everyone, which means that there is considerable contraversy and disagreement, as well as deliberate flames, and, not on my lists, there have been many lawsuit threats, including Cease and Desist letters. So, I'm a list Czarina, and when someone misbehaves, I'm the one that sends them to their room and after three strikes, I put them on review. Whatever, I'm organized with my lists and have archives, with excellent search options, so my programs do the walking for me - it's other places like DG that I fail to keep up, as it happens, with info that I know will be useful down the line. Oh, well...
Sherry -- I have no idea! LOL!!! I am having such a tough time keeping up with the threads these days, as it it. Maybe on your leaf thread? I'll let you know if I find it...
Okay, Gretchen, I found it but forgot where. Brugie told me and it was a thread I didn't think of, but I did post the photo. Goodness, I'm so sorry I don't know which thread. Maybe you will find it, if you 'watched' the thread, I bet it will come up. Ya think, if we begged that Dave would give us a flag option??
If you know a phrase or even an uncommon word from the thread, do a search, Sherry. That is how I find most of the things I am looking for on Dave's. You can even limit it to one forum and one poster. If one word combination does not work., try another. I hope it helps.
