Photos of RU attendees

Victoria, BC(Zone 8b)

OK, it's photo time.

Lets post our photos of ourselves, so we can see who everyone is. I think this should be open to all CDN members of DG's and of course CDN wanna be's.

Don't be shy of what you look like, I got a photo of me taken this morning. I'm badly in need of a hair cut, and am embaressed about my prednisone enhanced face and body. However, this is who I am, so this is what you get.

this is me, Linda, not a shrinking violet, but hiding in 'Whiskers'

I'm glad you posted, i was feeling a bit exposed being the only one with a photo.

Edmonton, AB(Zone 3a)

and i've already been scolded about teaching three year olds to drive quads and without a helmet already

Campbell River, BC(Zone 8a)

This is picture that a friend took in the summer. It's one of the few that I actually like. The kayak club had an evening paddle to the pier for ice-cream and a friend happened to be there with his camera so he took a couple of pictures of us. I'm the one standing on the right side.

Nice to see everyone, to put a face to a nom de plume...Sandy's cute eh? I look just like her, only bigger!
Pat

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8a)

this one is of me and our 1st born grand-daughter, Anna, at her Christmast party in Kindergarten! I look so bloomin' serious in this photo..oh well!

I look very similar to your great neice Lynn......look for tons of curly hair and that will be me.

Campbell River, BC(Zone 8a)

LOL Pat! I was just thinking though, that there is a downside to using a flattering picture. I'm going to have to seriously try to lose a few pounds because a sprayskirt can hide a multitude of sins.

Edmonton, AB(Zone 3a)

this is getting very amusing. i can't help but feel the closer we get to RU; the more the sense of participating in the biggest blind date ever gets. anyone else getting the same vibes?
as in high school, the mantra is "don't expect too much"

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

I think it's a hoot. Don't worry, there'll still be lots of magic left over once the initial high is past...lol I just have to find a photo or get DSO to take one - so far the digital camera's been pointed by me, not at me. :-)

I woke up this morning with Scruffy lying across my neck, clasping my head with one paw on each side and burying his nose into my cheek - that could've made a good picture! He doesn't have feeling on the tip of his nose - I hypothesize that he either froze it or had it scratched one too many times, in his alley cat days. Now he likes to cover it up when he sleeps. Sometimes I think he's just waiting for me to fall asleep so he can gradually edge me off the pillow.

Anyway, back on track....I'll send a pic asap.

Shannon

Castlegar, BC(Zone 6b)

LOL, that would have been a great shot, Shannon. Isn't hindsight a great thing?

Heck, I don't think anyone cares how good anyone looks. I am just looking forward to meeting the person(s) behind the name. I am sure we are all beautiful in our hearts. After all, we are all gardeners right? What's not to love?

Exactly!!

I'm just so looking forward to the whole thing, and will be so bummed when it's over...we'll have to start planning '06 or '07 immediately! :-)

Me and the spooky-eyed Scruffle-izer...

Picture of me with my daughter and son in law. This was taken 2 years ago so I'm older now.

Adorable photo Shannon. Scruffy looks so squeezable!

My God... a whole 2 years older!!! For heaven's sake, Jeanne you and your daughter look like sisters!

That was a good photo of me. I usually take lousy photos. I hate having my picture taken.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Everyone looks great........one of these days I *might* find one of me to add (gots 2 1/2 months to go still). We will have a blast! Ü

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8a)

You and me, both, Jeanne...unless I'm caught by surprise! Ha!

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Thanks, Donna! Yep, Scruffy's a teddy cat. Back in the day, when he was an alley cat, you couldn't get within 10 feet of him. Now I can hardly get him off my lap! :-) The other two are not impressed...we have to cycle them around every so often so nobody gets jealous.

Imagine if we had an animal RU at the same time...we could rent a vacant farm (if there is such a thing), all the cats & dogs & horses (everybody duly vaccinated, of course) could meet each other & compare notes on their people... Linda & Cheryl's dog could play host
:-)

Victoria, BC(Zone 8b)

Kayla I think would get her nose out of joint if that happened. We have friends that have a dog, a short haired collie that always come to visit when thay do. for the first 2 years, kayla was the dominant dog, but this past 6 months, she's deffered to the other one. I think it's because she's getting so old (15) arthritic and when her sugars are high, she just doesn't feel much like company. She'll often remove herself and put herself to bed when we have another dog over. It's so hard to see her age. She's such a good dog and friend, just lives to see us, walk and play, even though she can only walk a block, and falls frequently when she's playing. Her hind end jusy gives out. Doesn't seem do bother her though, she just gets up and con't on with what ever she was doing. We're sure going to miss when she goes... Otherwise, wouldn't it be great to see everyones four legged family.

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

I was just kidding of course....it would be a zoo. Literally! Everyone just has such nice-looking animals, I wish I could meet them along with their people.

I'm looking forward to meeting Kayla, at least - if she's up to it that is! I hope all the activity won't bother her - ? :-(

Victoria, BC(Zone 8b)

She loves having someone new to throw her ball for her, or play tug on her rope. She thinks that everyone that comes to visit is there for her use, and beck & call.

Castlegar, BC(Zone 6b)

(((Kayla))) Can't wait!

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Well then I hereby offer her my service... :-)

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I like each photo! You guys look great. I bet that you will have a lot of fun!
I am not a Canadian but I dared to post anyway lol

Monika, you're always welcome here. Everyone at the RU will get to see a lot of your wonderful brugs since I've included a lot of your slides in the show.

I'd like to play with every one of you. you all look like so much fun even when you're looking stern! I hope you all take lots of pictures to share with us. How about a group picture at Butchart's? I'm sure you'll find a handy Japanese tourist who would be delighted.
