Linda, you are close...vaccination...yes, innoculant is a series of bacteria, three to be exact, which when injected, say into a bean, pea and other legumes, enhances shelf life...they(innoculants can treat root networks, plant stems...and particularly, seeds. It is big business in the wholesale world. They(the bacteria), are sold internationally, particularly, big Agriculture firms! hope that helps..
