I am very interested in planting 2 of these trees at the entrance to my home in Bonita Springs, Florida. I understand they bloom all year.
How did make this bush into a tree? How old is the tree in the picture.

I am so sorry that this is not my plant and I have have never grown one.The photo was on the TopTropicals website Here:

The Starburst grows very fast so the one in the picture is most likely 2-3 years old. They do NOT bloom all year. They bloom in the winter then lose many of their leaves before growing new ones. They are easy to grow as a tree using proper pruning. They spread by sending runners out which is not a big problem if you keep them pulled up. They make gorgeous trees when they are blooming. Their foliage looks nice when they are not blooming.

The Starbust tree in the picture is 2 years old.
