Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr please, please send it to Calgary for a change Lynn!!!!
10 cm.?
...Ahem... I hope you all notice who ISN'T complaining? I have turned over a new leaf. Especially after listening to everyone else! ;-)
Ya, I'm not saying a thing about our weather either. I really feel sorry for you guys. Take care with the shovelling Shannon.
We (speaking for AB, SK and MB I'm pretty sure) appreciate it........thank you Ladies!
Actually, I didn't mean our weather here is terrific, on the contrary, it's been cold to our normal standards. But I decided that it just doesn't do any good to complain, and that I know some of you guys have much more to complain about and USUALLY don't, so I have no right either. Soooo...that's it, no more bit...complaining from now until April. Nobody's gonna call me a su - -y baby again. :D
LOL
Okay, the rest of you can laugh at us!!! Tons of snow outside this morning. Looks like an early snow on the prairies. And it's windy to boot!!!! And I was in Vancouver the last two days and woke up to snow there yesterday!!! I can't get away from it!!!!!!!!!
Okay, my rant of the day is done!!!
How are you doing LInda? Much snow there??
Glenda
((((((((((BC))))))))))))
giggle.......giggle......*snort*................................
oh heck..........hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaa
Sending sympathy. (hand over mouth)
LOL, Pam! Actually it is quite a shock when you're not used to it - they showed some scary collisions in Vancouver on the National last night. Even here, lots of people drive too fast for the conditions in the winter - and we should know better!!
Well, I got up at 6 this am and took a look out at the snow-plowage outside...there is lots of snow but it turned out to be light & fluffy this time, and the berm they left at the end of our driveway looked managable so I drove right over it without shovelling. Today after work I'll buckle down and clear it all off. Guess I'll have to have two desserts tonight, to make up for the calorie loss ;-)
Thanks for the reminder, Donna! Snow shovelling is one of the best ways to throw out a back.
You two are incorrigible! LOL
We know that Shannon ;) ....... even the weather channel had to get a dig in that BC prolly wouldn't get too much sympathy from the prairies!
.....actually ~2 weeks ago my son was in a van full of students who were coming back from an Improv performance in Regina. They were going over the one and only hill (man made over the tracks) between here and Regina and the teacher lost control. They went over the side of the hill just before the top...the van didn't flip tho and the students were able to push it back onto the highway. If anyone here knows that hill........they'll know they were extremely lucky.
edtied the time it happened....it wasn't as long ago as I originally thought.

Here, about 15-20cm snow now.
I can not get out from my drive way.
Children are happy,school closed today
I bet It is goin to be a lot of accidents here.
((((BC)))) residents do not know how to drive in the snow.
Despite the bad part,It is very pretty outside.
Nice to see snow one in a while.
Have a good weekend, everyone!
Drive slow yumiko.......start braking slowly a block before you normally would and stay off major roadways! Don't overcorrect if you go into a skid...drive into it and take your foot off the gas.
Find a shovel! ;)
Hi Pam.
I am the one of "do not know how to drive in the snow" panic driver.
Better to be staying here(^ ^)
Shovell? Thanks for reminding me.
I have to call my husband to get snow shovell
you have great weekend!
LOL......yep shovel......wooden pole (short) with metal (or plastic) scoop on one end and handle on the other. ;) Use legs, not back, for lifting the load onto your grass.
I've got to go out and fix my shed, I've got a wall of it blowing off in the wind, and somewhere in it is the snow shovel. We don't have much where I am, only about 5 cm.
As soon as I heard about us getting snow, I knew we'd be in for it, getting ribbing from the rest of the country. It's the time when we get pay back from you guys because of all our bragging about the benefits of living in BC. It's rightly deserved...
Oh great, as I write this, the power is flickering, guess I better get off here and get the fireplace going. Or maybe I'll just go back to bed and hide my head under the covers. Ya think it'll all be a bad dream and it'll be gone when i wake up???
Linda, (on her way outside to fix the shed and find the shovel)
Joking aside........take care there!
Linda, he's gorgeous! Great photos - they should be in a calendar or something. "Victoria in January"...who woulda thunk it?....
Poor little guy. I bet he's cold. You should let him come in, Linda! :-(
He's probably the guy that I keep chasing out of my GH/deck. I'm hoping that he'll find his way in without me opening up the big door, and letting all the cold and snow in too.

Oh, I hope you have some sugar water for that little guy. Birds - my next favourite hobby. Are those birds on the suet Juncos? You could have birds there that we never see, so that's a wild guess.
They look much happier than that poor one above Linda......have you let him into your porch yet?
