Make the Best of 2005!

Des Moines, IA(Zone 5a)

Do I dare say Happy New Year after all the tragedy's taking place in Asia? Yes. Heartfelt prayers to the victoms of the Tsunami (sp?) and to our troops and others still serving for democracy in Iran/Irac and their family's in waiting, Kudo's to the US dollars helping and all the Help from other Country's and to any relief effort taking place. Just when we all feel so helpless there are people giving 100% to help, and I think I could go on and on. All of this makes my own personal tragedy's pale in comparison and I feel so blessed just to be safe and sound today, and to live in a country that is full of loving, caring individuals, and to have a spouse who is so special in spite of all his troubles.

We spent the 1st few minutes of 2005 with our Grandson Jalen (my Sunshine!), what a special night this was!

I just want to say Everyone have a 'Best as it can be' New year , prayers for goodness to come to those in need. Jill

Happy New Year! You're right Jill, the problems and tragedies of this country pale in comparison to what the people in Asia are suffering from right now. It makes the three hurricanes that my family had to deal with this summer seem like nothing. I am grateful for my family, my country and most of all to God. Margaret
