Starter Kits at Wally's World

Palmyra, VA(Zone 7a)

Hi everyone,

I bought several seed/transplant starter kits at Wally's World (Walmart) yesterday very cheap. These are 18 3" thin plastic pots inside a tray, humidomes(clear plastic covers) are not included. How cheap is cheap?? Jiffy has something similar at 5 bucks each...I can't recall the brand at Wally's but regular price of 2.5 bucks and I got them for one (1) buck each.

I can't remember the last time I purchased anything from there for 1 buck!
BLUE LIGHT SPECIAL!!!!!!!

Happy shopping.
Tim

I hope I can find these at that price!!

Last year, I got my 72-cell seed starters with plastic lid (humidor) from the Dollar General store in winter/spring - after the Christmas stuff was gone. They were $3 and came with a bag of seed starting soil. And I might add, they worked beautifully under my shop lights in the kitchen (which are put away, but are itching to get out again and get started again growing seeds). I might have to get an early start just to make them happy ...

I saw some at Frank's nursery, 54-cell starters with soil and cover for about 7 bucks. I purchased the Jiffy 72-cell starter with 72 pellets and cover for about 7 buck, been using it for 2 wks now. What can I say, I'm impatient! LOL

I got a catalog from charlies garden. I don't remember exact prices, but they are at least 1/2 of what Wal-Mart asks for normally. They have all kinds of cool seed starting stuff for cheap. I got the catalog to check out a green house I want to make (not so cheap!!!)I pick up the catalog once every two weeks to drool over it. If you get the catalog, look at the octagon greenhouse and you'll see what I mean about drooling. I Love It!!!

Meghan,

Where can I get a copy of the catalog?

So how do the rest of us get our hands on one of those catalogs???

I got the name wrong it is charlie's greenhouse. Go to charleysgreenhouse.com and request a catalog. They also have a nice potting bench! Lots of ideas of things I can make myself.
