Happy New Year!
Happy New Year everyone! I hope it's a good one for you all.
What are you doing to bring in the New Year Donna and everyone else? I guess I'll be celebrating it with the gang from Air Farce.
Sandy
That sounds good Donna. My mom and I will have a drink. Dad doesn't drink. I'll be the only one still up at midnight.
We've got a couple coming for dinner, then playing trivial pursuit or some other game, and a chocolate fondue. I imagine we'll all be home and in our beds by midnight.
Happy New year everyone, may your new year be filled with happiness, serenity, and health. (and happy plants!)
Linda in sunny and warm Victoria
Thanks for the lovely New Year's Link, Donna. I just sent it out to a friend or two. We'll be staying in tonight, although Seward does offer some festivities... Prime Rib Dinner at the Harbor Dinner Club, Drinks and Dancing at the Yukon Bar (the band is called 'Caines Head'), and perhaps fireworks. They are much better in the winter here, since it doesn't get dark enough to see them on our 4th of July! LOL!
Happy New Year to one and all!
My very best wishes for a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year.
Liz in sunny, white Whistler.
A Happy New Year to everyone. Hope Santa was good to all!!!
We plan on going to Butchart Gardens this evening, although it IS a little chilly here by our standards!!!! Mother in law is here from ther Prairies, so we will have to bundle her up! (A good thing she doesn't live close to Lilypon!!!! Sounds like a bad storm out there right now!!! Hope you are inside and keeping warm Pam!)
After that, we will head home, and probably do nothing and be in bed LONG before midnite, as usual!!!
All the best to everyone.
Sun....lucky ducks!! We've got another grey day. I guess I should be happy it's not raining....it was drizzling this morning. We had a tiny touch of snow on the ground this morning but it's gone now.
I'm glad it was you that posted that picture ggd. I've been afraid to even mention it.LOL
"By the way, we have daffodils and crocus doing their thing!!!"
Y'all are just plain EVIL!!!!
Snowball levelled right atcha, Glenda!! Ah heck, Happy New Year anyway!
pssssssssssst Donna -> I've got the tar pot heating up.........do you have feathers???? :)
Thanks for the snowball Donna!!!! Actually, being from the prairies myself, I actually do miss snow a bit in the winter. Notice, I said A BIT!!!!
Gosh, tar and feathers!!!! Good thing I won't be here for the roundup!!! I might be afraid!!
LOL.
Glenda
LOLOL I was thinking of taking a page out of your book Weeze and posting something similar........Blizzard has stopped so we would even be able to see them now!
Personally the thought of tar and feathering them has kept me much warmer tho'!! ;)
I took this photo back in late May of 2000. I sent it to a friend on April 1st, telling her they were 'Fool Proof' tulips, and that I had purchased the bulbs for $5 each, so I was pleasedto see them doing so well. Of course, the ground had just thawed enough to push them stems of the phony tulips into the ground. When she wrote back to inquire as to where I purchased the bulbs for these amazing tulips, I was able to say, 'April Fool!'
Happy New Year All!
May you be blessed with Love of Family (including the Animals) , Friends and the odd Secret Admirer.
May you enjoy a Safe, Healthy and Prosperous 2005.
May the Planet make some progress toward Peace. and
May your gardens be Lush with Colour and Vitality.
We shall be home which we open to the neighbourhood for the evening...and chase them out at 12:01. '
Dawn
A very Happy New Year to you as well Sunrize and to everyone else!!
Pam
Yes, best wishes for the new year, Dawn. Don't open your house too early or pour to generously, or you'll need a scoop shovel to chase those guests out at 12:01!
Weezi, you can't have tulips yet!!! I won't accept that! I am depressed now!
Don't get all depressed now... that picture was taken the last of March in 2000, and I had to put phony tulips in the bed to do it. I have to confess because I don't want you to spend New Year's Eve in a frump!
Thank you, God! I am not losing my mind!
Weezi, you turkey! Have a Happy New Year!
Glenda here is my New Year's gift to you: http://snowflakes.lookandfeel.com/index.html?taf=receiver
Now Weeze you've dashed my hopes........I was going to beg some bulbs from you and demand that you pay postage too!!!! ;)

Thanks for the snowflakes, Lilypon. How pretty! Weez, I don't pour. At this party, which was tradition before we built here, everybody brings an appy to share and their own booze. The first year I was rather distressed to find that they also took all their stuff back home but it works wonderfully because I do nothing but have a clean house, bar and dishes set up and no cleanup. Best thing going. I don't even have to cook if I don't want to. The guests all get home safely, and it does a lot for community spirit.
Enjoy, All
Dawn
Wishing you all a Happy New Year. We have so much to be thankful for. We're spending a quiet evening at home between storms. Hope to get in and see Ginny in a day or two. Where is she anyway? Pam how's the party going?
Gots a bit of antifreeze in me so I'm nice and mellow and pretty warm now too.......also have ear muffs on so I don't worry about what's going on upstairs! ;) Do wish they would come in quickly tho' and close the front door!!!!!!!!!
Glad your party went well Sunrize........don't think this one will be as neat and tidy. :S
Ahh, Lilypon...brings back memories from when my young 'uns were that age. Enjoy it! I wish I could turn back time.
lololol.......it must be like childbirth Donna, memories fade with time??? ;)
Just you wait, Pam. When the "Empty Nest Syndrome" kicks in. It's not fun! Like I said, Enjoy. They soon move on to have lives of their own, that often don't include you and their daddy.
Actually I get the foreshadowing of the feeling now at times with the eldest Donna.....but they are both teens (DS will be 17 tomorrow) and do have the temperments that go with those years. :S Just went upstairs and DS was blocking the stairway.....definitely got the hint I wasn't welcome at the pool table. ;)
Sunrize, how clever of you! It's only 7pm here now, but some of you have reach the witching hour by now. I hope your New Year's Eve was memorable, and I'm wishing the best for the coming year. May we all have lovely little green things growing and lots of good friends to appreciate them!
Ahh, teens, they are still babies yet. You have lots of time left to ...ahem... enjoy them! Mine are 29 and 31. By then, they are on their own.. But be warned! Time flies...
Ah, my youngest is 34, and my oldest 38. Yes, time , indeed, does fly!
The children grow, there is blessed peace, and then the walls begin to echo with the silence!
I know.....can't believe DD will be 20 on January 4th! How quickly those years have gone by!
Weeze I think the far East Coast celebrating New Years....Ontario is nearing 11:00, I'm at 10:00......what's the time at BC now?
Happy New Year...P.E.I., New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Labrador!
It's early, only about 8:30 here.
Sandy I don't think I'll make it to your New Year........unless DD comes in REALLY late! ;)
You must have just hit midnight Pam...still 2 hours to go here. I don't even think I'll last that long myself...already yawning. One of my New Year's resolutions is to go to bed earlier.
Happy New Years from Saskatchewan Canada!!
Sandy just delivered a birthday cake upstairs so really missed it myself!
