Jester, I think the worst thing I did is wrap a $5 plant and completely forgot about my foxtails!! How dumb is that, lol.

Calalily that wasn't dumb. For the most part you never have to worry about this sort of weather. When it comes you are trying to remember the cold hardiness of umpteen plants and get everything covered. You just can't think of everything at once. We have all been down that road.

You know I have a Lady Margret Passie that was unprotected and it is just as pretty as the day before all this hit............I didn't know they were that cold hardy. She is planted next to the wash house and does have some shelter but was not covered and seems to have survived without so much as a frosted leaf tip.........go figure......

I long for spring...sigh.....just a couple of more months. Still have some major garden overhall plans so I know that time will go fast. Better get it in gear lol.

Dee, my Lady Margaret survived too, the only things damaged on it were the flower buds. I'm like you, I had no idea it was this hardy.

LoL.........Guess we learned something from this Cala.... I had forgotton about her in all the excitement and didn't even notice until a couple of days later that she was still vining up the trellis. I am so glad she didn't freeze. I hope to have lots of blooms in the summer from this one.........
At least now we know it is cold hardy.....
