You are all such a blessing to me and it is my hope to share this wonderful brug with some of my friends next year. I think I will follow Shirleys example and share what I have so all will enjoy the beauty of these beautful flowers. And who know who is the one that will use this beauty in the cross that will produce that fantastic double Pink..............LOL...... and maybe they will think of me tooo....

Dee, just remember, this is a cutting and you have to get it to root. I had two cuttings last fall and I lost one of them. I'll make each cutting long enough for you to make two short cuttings and I wish you the best with it. Once it roots, it grows very well. Remember that the hybridizer is Snowhermit and she should get some thanks for making this cross.
Yes I know it is a Cutting but my anticipation is uncontrolable..........LOL........I hope it will do well and I know it could go south so to speak but we will just have to keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.
What method did you have the best luck with Shirley. Did something work better than another?
I know there are some brugs that are harder to root than others so I am all ears if you have some advice.
And I certainly do thank Snowhermit for all the hard work that went into this wonderful brug and as soon as I can figure how to log back on to BGI I will Thank her myself. I am sure she will be soooo pleased to know I have one of her babies.

Dee
My best luck is always just sticking them in dirt. However, I have had some good luck with different cuttings, by starting them in water. I'm beginning to think I'm accidently doing things by the right moon sign and don't know it. I'm sure you will be able to get it to root. I sure hope so. This plant doesn't have much on it to take more cuttings after I take these two nice ones from a late, but nice shoot. I'll keep the top of it and try to root it as it will be green.
Don't ya just hate it when someone is ho hum about winning, lol. Congrats,
Dee, your excitement is infectious!!!
Sherry, she was so tickled, she had me tickled. I'm glad this contest is over now. It's time to think Christmas at our house.
Congratulations Dee,
I see that you have been into Brugs a year longer than I have.I am so worried about rooting her.
I don't have a greenhouse ,but I do have shop lights and I'm in zone 5. I too would very much love to be able to pass her on to more members. This is a test for me and I hope I pass it!
I want to thank Brugie for the chance to have such a great cutting and Snowhermit for producing such a beautiful plant.I would appreciate any help to keep her healthy and strong. Thanks to everyone for your encouragement! I'm going to try 100% to deserve her!
Hugs Bonnie
With any luck, you gals will get your cuttings on Monday or Tuesday. Hope they grow like crazy so you really are able to share with others. That is one of the best parts about growing brugs...we get to share with so many people. Happy Holidays!!
Thanks Shirley! You are the greatest!
Bonie
Bonie, I don't have a "Real" green house either. My wash house serves as my green house and I just have grow lights out there, I can put up a make shift green house in case the weather should get cold. We are still looking for a house so I haven't put up anything permenant. Soon as we find "The house" then I will but so far I have been able to root most cuttings and have only lost a few.
I am confident we will be sucessful with these and will have some to share with our friends next fall. I am counting on it. I like my eggs in more than one basket if you know what I mean.............LOL.
I will be watching for the Mail truck tomorrow Shirley and will let out another "Shreek" if the Queen arrives................LOl
Maybe I better not she may drive off and take my mail with her.......I could see me running after the mail truck and her trying to get away from the "Crazy Lady" wanting her "Brug"......that would be a hoot.......

Dee
I'm glad it got there okay. Have fun with it. The crazy cuttings allowed us to have extra fun for almost a week here on the brug forum. LOL!
yes they did and I am so glad they did............this day had a very bad start for me so I am glad the Queen arrived safe and sound. I will post later what happened I just can't do it now......It was all I could do to post the first one but I had to let you know it arrived.
I lost my dear pet boston terrior this mornig, the one I have had for over 10 years and I just can't bear the thought right now. I have cried all day and I can barley see now, so please excuse me. ........... until later...
Dee
Oh Dee, I'm so sorry. It's so hard when we lose a pet. They are one of the family. I know exactly how you feel. We lost Squirt last year, unexpectedly, and it was horrible. Our baby was 11 years old and she died of congestive heart failure. So sad. The good thing is that with time and a new pet, we have dealt with it okay even tho we will always miss her. I'll be thinking about you and hope that you will also find a way to get through the pain soon.
Dee, the loss of a loved pet is one more awful time, I have cried oceans of tears over some real sweeties. Without going into details, I suggest that within not so long a time that you 'adopt' another. With each loss, I've found that if you can love one animal, you can love others. I'm so sorry this happened on what was intended to really be a super time for you. Your pup will live forever in your heart!! And, I hope your 'trophy' will grow into a beauty, as a tribute to your doggie...
Oh Dee ... I am so sorry.
Dee, I'm so sorry. It's like losing a member of the family. My heart goes out to you.
