Thanks! I will consider backups.

(Zone 7a)

Update: At the top also..

I have received many envelopes for ths offer. Most of the envelopes are the perfect size. I have received a few small ones (4x5). A few didn't have the postage affixed. Therefore I replaced your envelope with a larger one. I will send as many as I can in the smaller ones. Sorry that was my fault for not being specific on envelope size. I asked for $.83 SASBE because of weight and size. I should have mentioned an envelope size.

I'll get mine sent sorry so slow, alot has been going on.Thanks,Jody

(Zone 7a)

Almost all packed up and ready to go. I will be mailing all 20 packages on the same day. Hopefully this week! I hope you enjoy. I tried to split what I had between 20 people. Most of you will have the same seeds. If I didn't have 20 packs of one type of seed...some got others. But the pack amounts are equal.
Happy Gardening everyone!

Helpful growing Tips: Annual flowers and vine seeds will usually germinate without any cold treatment. Hard coated seeds can benefit from being nicked and soaked in water before sowing. For example; Morning Glory seeds germinate faster when soaked before sowing. Seeds that benefit from cold treatment are usually Cold Hardy Perennials. They can be winter sown in the ground or prepared indoors. For preparing indoors, nick and soak the seed for 24 hours. Then place the seeds in a ziplock bag in the freezer (very hardy plants), refrigerator (semi-hardy plants) until ready to sow. Therefore they will already be cold stratified and ready for sowing indoors. Always use good seed starting soil when trying to start new seeds. Purchased seed starting soil has the adequate growing nutrients for starting seedlings. Viola seeds benefit from darkness when germinating, others may need light and high warmth. Therefore do not cover the seeds with soil. Usually very tiny seeds can be sown right on the soil surface for germination. Remember to keep all seed starting moist until they germinate.

Thank you Kim! The growing tips are great too!

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Kim...You are so sweet to send the Growing Tips! I copied them to "Word", printed them, and tucked them in a plastic cover. Now I can have it handy in my potting table whenever I need it...and that is OFTEN! (I'm old and my brain is feeble...)

Thanks again for everything! You are most generous!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Kim, I received the seeds today. Thank you so much. You are so generous.

Palmyra, IL(Zone 5b)

Kim,
I hope I sent the right size envelope.
I also wanted to ask you if you've ever grow iris from seed.Flag iris, wild iris,ect.ect.
If so are there any tricks to germinating them.Jody

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

recieved today. Thanks Kim

(Zone 7a)

Jody Iris are pretty easy to germinate..Did you get your package? I put in several kinds of Iris...Soak them before sowing. They take about 30 days..

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Oh, boy! I've had the day from and was SO HAPPY to finally get to the mailbox and find your package! Yippee - can't wait to get out of the shower, pour a nice cup of decaf and open it!!!

It all started nice and early. I walked out the door at 7:12 for work. Then I had to dig out the car. Then I cheated and decided to drive over the snow and ice in the driveway instead of shoveling the 8 inches of snow. Bad, BAD decision! I got out ok, but had to really rev the engine to do so...which helped me clear the driveway boulders just fine, but when I hit the icy pavement I skidded into the ditch across the street. 50 minutes later I finally had myself dug out - soaking wet and totally chilled from being out in the ice storm for a little over an hour...when along comes Mr. Snowplow Man in full gear. He covered me (personally, not the car) about 3 feet up with icy snow! As soon as he got past my car he saw the headlights from my car and jumped out to see if I was ok. Sobbing, with goey black make-up running down my face, shivering from the cold, I said, "Fine!" I finally got back on the road at 8:25, having gone a whole 20 feet! On the upside, Mr. Snowplow Man must've felt really sorry for me because when I got home I found that my driveway had been plowed!!! Now I'm going to take my tired, cold body in and get a shower. Then I'm going to relax in front of a BIG fire and see what Kimmeeeeee sent me!

Thank you for brightening up my day! (And my garden, of course!)

Palmyra, IL(Zone 5b)
