Does anyone use these packets that are found in pill bottles, shoe boxes, etc to help keep their seeds dry during storage? I have been using them for 2 years with good results... I hate to put them into the land fills. I haven't had too many issues with mildew on seeds, but this seems to be a good preventative. Anyone else? Is there any other use for these packets?

Silica Packets
All the time....my family even knows to save them for me.
Here's a thread that had some suggestions on the subject: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/465312/
Thanks for the tips... I was worried there was some awful reason I should not be using them!
I've done that for a long time, seems to work!
me 2.
When I open a vitamin bottle, getting the silica packet out is like getting the prize out of a cracker jack box :)
Hee hee! I just discovered these thanks to DG! I had all the family kids digging through all their Christmas presents looking for 'em! I WRACKED up too!! hee hee..
