Bryson, QC(Zone 4a)

echoes
Everytime I get unto the computor-I wish I can rejoice and tell everyone it's over.....But we're still in the same boat. Just have to focas more and re-new my mind and take control over my flesh>>>
Thank-You for all your prayers / encouragement and for not giving up on us!

Be Blessed, Ingrid

That's the thing about going public when you say you are quitting. Someone's always around to remind you what you're supposed to be doing. Or not doing. Line yourself up some strategies, Ingrid. After a few days your resolve will get stronger. You need a few days of freedom behind you for motivation, then even if you slip, you know how to do it again. God bless. He has you in His keeping.

Know that I am thinking of all of you trying to quit. Remember, listen to Brenda, have plans, and last resort, just don't put it in your mouth.

Edmonton, AB(Zone 3a)

I'am on my third day of not smoking..So, far doing just wonderfully!
In my heart the Lord took the taste of it away and in his strength I'am able to conquer this. Glory of the victory goes all to him!

I started Juicing as well. Changed everything... Carrots/apples/celery/parsley for breakfast with yogart. All different teas/no more coffee. Lots of water..Changing eating habits as well. Since we're on a new hail-might as well get right into it.

For anyone else trying to quit -try juicing it goes right to your blood stream before you eat anything and this has somewhat of a detoxification effect.

Just wanted to thank- each and every one of you for prayers and wonderful spoken wisdom shared with me..This was all a wonderful blessing for me.

Be Blessed, Ingrid

Your on your way, Ingrid. Just needed to find what worked for you and get some good days behind you.

In His keeping.

Victoria, BC(Zone 8b)

Ingrid that's wonderful. Soon you'll notice how sweet the smells of the world around you can be. I think come Spring, you'll have such a keener sense of smell, you'll be just amazed.

remember; one hour, one day at a time.

Way to go, Ingrid. I am still praying for you. You will do it, I feel it. Remember too, that the smell and the taste you may remember will not be the same now if you try it. It'll taste....yucky! :-(

Bryson, QC(Zone 4a)

Thank-You greatly , and for holding me still in your prayers.

Darn right it's hard to quit smoking, Echoes. And the older you get the harder it is, I found. First time I quit (for 15 years) was a cake walk. I was young with two small kids to keep me occupied. Last year was considerably tougher. But proof that it can be done is living with me. My DH was a hard core smoker for 45 years and quit (before me) last year. I thank God every day that we finally made it, and Ginny and Ingrid will do it too. I feel it in my bones....

Bryson, QC(Zone 4a)

Thank-You...
Ginny you and I are going to make it!!!

Edmonton, AB(Zone 3a)

ingrid every day you haven't smoked - put a plant on your spring shopping list and mark it paid for.

Bryson, QC(Zone 4a)

LOL ..Can just imagine, how that will look like going threw the airport.. all these plants and justifying it for not smoking anymore...

You could always pack some up and mail them home. not much different from ordering them to be sent.

My Mom takes boxes of plants back with her every time she comes. The airlines are fine with it. Especially WestJet, they're really easy.

Bryson, QC(Zone 4a)

Well we're finished the 2nd week and holding well.
Best reagrds, Ingrid

Edmonton, AB(Zone 3a)
