Read all the info on propagation, which seems fairly easy, but no one has seem to have posted how long it should take for a cane to sprout roots and begin showing leaf growth.
Can anyone answer the question. I planted 15 canes two weeks ago. No evidence of anything happening yet.

If you use some gentle bottom heat nad cover them with a plastic baggie for humidity then you will probable see some laf growth in around a month or so.
Did you do a log cutting or just a tip cutting???

I find that the softer the wood is, the faster they "take". Ialso take most of the leaves off to since they will yellow anyway. Some of my woodier pieces have looked dormant for many weeks before I saw any sign of new growth.
I did 16 6" Logs. I have checked and they all have roots but no leaves Yet. They are in the Winter greenhouse. 80 daytime. 55 night.
