Anyone have any sources on American Yellowwood lifespans?

I thought the lifespan of this tree was easily around 50 years. Relatively short lived compared to a Hickory or some oaks but not that horribly short. I tried a search for lifespans and came up relatively empty handed. I searched under Cladrastis kentuckea. I just bought 3 of these for next spring and I am thinking I made a mistake.

Lexington, VA(Zone 6a)

Michael Dirr's Manual of Woody Landscape Plants lists nothing to indicate that Cladrastis kentukea (aka lutea) is relatively short lived. He mentions a 17 year old seedling that is 20' tall and lists the national champion growing to 72' in Cincinnati. He does mention that it is one of his favorite trees.

Check out this site http://plants.usda.gov/ which lists lifespan as LONG.

I loaned my Dirr's manual to somebody and I can't remember who I loaned the darn thing to. I ordered 3 of these as B&Bs and read something here in the threads that concerned me regarding lifespans. I know there are specimans planted throughout the midwest planted decades ago and was somewhat confused. Thanks so much for checking your Dirr's for me. I am most appreciative.
