Cuttings

(Linda) Winfield, KS(Zone 6a)

Since the post office was so speedy on shipping us our cuttings I hope they are that speedy on getting your money to you.
Mine have leaves on them and they look so good this morning. You are a very dear generous person.

Thanks again
Linda

Kingston, GA(Zone 7b)

Hello Jen,
I got my brug cuttings yesterday or Monday. I am sorry I am slow letting you know. The first of the week is always so hectic for me. The cuttings look great and are doing well. Thank you so much for sharing them with me. :)

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

I'm still trying to get the time to start filling the other 5. Please bear with me.

Thanks to all that have returned postage and also for letting me know that they've arrived.

Jen

Jen,

Thank you so much for your kindness, I received the two brug cuttings today. I don't know what it is about Ohio, but it always takes so much longer to reach me than anybody else, it seems. They look great and I mailed you postage on Monday. Thanks you again and God Bless.

Ruth

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Thanks for letting me know : )

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Ruth: I have the same problem, they send cuttings one day, I get mine in 4 days, everbody else is 2-3 days, think Ohio must be outdated mail system, or goes by Pony Express?

Vincent, OH

Hibiscus

Thanks for letting me know, I was beginning to wonder if it is just where I live. When we mail my husband always sends two day priority. I tell him I don't know why, because it will be at least three if not four days before the person get it. But we live two hours from Columbus, Ohio and my daughter gets her mail the next day when I send something. Go Figure!

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Its weird how i sent cuttings to oregon and they got there quicker than they did to ohio.

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone that i have shipped to so far. All postage has been returned, i am so impressed, less than a week turnaround.

Hope everyones cuttings are doing well for them.
I'm planning on starting the other round tomorror. I will email each person with confirmation #'s and postage due when i get them mailed out.
Til then

MsJen,

I believe everyone is aware that you are undergoing cancer treatments, so please just take your time and don't wear yourself out. This is a very kind thing you're doing and I appreciate it!!

Judy

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Judy,

Everyone that i've dealt with on this sase has been so incredibly kind. I wish they all went like this.
I've made mention of my breast cancer a time or two, but havent commited an actual thread to it, except for the one about the radiation therapy. Most of the time its "hidden" in a post not even related to it, lol.
I long for the high energy days that i used to have. You know, i was diagnosed with 1 cancer in Nov, got that taken care of and then WHAM, breast cancer. I think eventually i'll start to grieve, that is when i find the time, lol.
Jen
p.s....have you ever heard:

Those that mind don't matter
Those that matter don't mind

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

You are an inspiration to us all, Jen! God bless you!

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

Jen it will get better. i have been hit with the same type three times now. i have grieved some because i have lost something i cant have in life any more.

there are downs and ups and its not easy and it can be right hard at times.

i will say this agian as i did the first time we ever traded. i am an email away if you want to talk. God never gives us more then we can handle.( some days i wonder though)

hang in there take your time and the rest you need and get well . you come first. Hugs Marie

WOW! What neat choices! Some I'd actually love to have, but I think I need to call it quits with what I have now, and maybe add more next year. Ms Jen - could you keep me in mind next time you do this? You have some I just love!

Karrie

Jen,

About the time I thought I would never have a normal life again I found my stamina levels coming back up.

You just have to give yourself permission to be in healing mode right now. I know, easier said than done. It's tough when you're use to blowin' and goin' all the time (I use to be a weightlifter and long distance bicyclist), but take it easy now and you'll be reaping the rewards in no time at all.

You're in my prayers,

dstartz/Donna

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Thanks for all the words of encouragement, y'all.

I've had more people tell me (IRL) that i look so good lately. I didnt know i was sick, so it must've been taking a toll on me that i didnt see.
I know my comment to most of them has been "i feel good, today", although I can't really remember what i felt like before the the diagnosis.
Surely a cancer has an effect on the body, and theres no telling how long it was there before i was diagnosed. Hard to understanding what i'm trying to "get back to", lol. I talk about I just wish i had my energy back, but the more i think about it, i cant remember a time that i wasnt tired and strung out.
One day at a time,
Jen

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I hope you soon get your energy back. I hope the next five years go fast for you and are cancer free. My friend Sherry, had breast cancer and she said that the five years was a very long time. She is now cancer free and I hope you will be too. Hang in there.

Brugie - "She is now cancer free "

The medical community never considers someone diagnosed with cancer as cancer free. We are considered 'appear to be cancer free'. That minor-appearing difference is my single greatest sadness as a cancer survivor. As a gallon++ blood donor and a donor card signer - I can no longer donate blood and no one else will ever benefit from my heart, eyes, etc....

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Donna,
Are you serious about not being able to be a donor? How terribly sad!!!! Seems so unfair. Let me stop before i get off on another tangent. : (

I keep trying to think what the 2 ugly things are in the bottom of the box?? I think all my cats are accounted for, lol

The only thing i can think is they are the yellow flowers that maybe fell of the cassia i sent? i wanted to show you what the flowers looked like.

Glad they got there in good shape,

jen

IThey came today, Jen!!! Thank you!!

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

No, no these are UGLY root thingies!!! Really ugly, but I don't know roots

Have enjoyed reading this thread. You have a great personality and out look.
If you have any left- - they can have a home here. I waited as long as I could. Ruth

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Ruth,
I have 1 more that i have to send out. Email me your addy and i'll see what i can do. Do you mind just a mish mash of cuttings? Would be easier than trying to remember specific ones, lol.
Thanks for the compliment. I sometimes forget to be kind and sometimes my outlook is not the brightest, but i try, i really really do, lol.
Email me your addy and i promise i'll see what i can do,

Thank you, Jen, for all the great cuttings. It was sure a nice thing for you to do for so many.

(Linda) Winfield, KS(Zone 6a)

I have had my cuttings for two weeks now. They are finally starting to show some roots. They are still looking great, they even have a new leaf on each cutting. You really don't know how much I appreciate you sending these to me and trusting me for the money.

I hope you have been having a lot of good days. Especially more good then bad.

Thank you again for being so generous and caring.

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

2pugs,
Thats what Daves is all about!!!

P.S. Just wanted to tell everyone that i sent these out to THANK YOU for sending payment back so quickly. This has been the absolute best SASE that i've done. This has helped me get through a very difficult time by making me focus on someone else, rather than myself. For that, I thank you.

All I ask, in return, is to be kind to the newbies that might want a cutting from you one day. Its not all about making a profit (selling) or trading. I learned a very valuable lesson a few years ago, from a very special lady. I was so grateful for all the cuttings she gave me. One day after loading me up again, she laughed and "what am I going to do with them". Thats what its all about, folks.
Feel free to offer your cuttings, trust the SASEers, more times than not they will return it.
K, off my soapbox.
(((Hugs))

Your a special lady yourself. Makes me proud to know you.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I feel the same way Jen, about hoping that people I have shared with, share with others. I've sent out box after box of cuttings for about six years now and this year I probably sent out around 20 boxes. It isn't that I don't want to share because I do love to share my plants, but it does get to be a big job and I'm so happy to see so many people who are so willing to share their plants this year. Maybe next year I'll get a burst of energy again, but it is getting harder every year. LOL! Never thought I'd ever have to admit that. In all the years that I've traded or shared, I've only had one or two problems with postage, so that isn't bad. Sometimes I feel generous and give plants/cuttings for no postage, but everyone on the brug forum has always taken care of postage costs when asked. You are all a great group of people.

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

well I sent you email my package came today, and so far someone is still enjoying "the gift" :)
