When I went out to water this morning, I saw that one of my three hazelnut seedlings (planted c. 12'-20' apart) looked sick or damaged on the left side, the side closest to an old poplar tree; hazelnut left side leaves now are sort of dark, curling wrong, wilting. No holes or strange insects or fungus visible, right side branch and leaves so far looks normal; no major changes in its care, pesticides by neighbor's yard c. 30' away, etc. Perhaps visiting tomcat?
Suggestions? What do I do other than watch and wait?
help? hazelnut seedling, zone 6
