Big Yella is sure yella this week!

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

If I had a camera I would take a picture of my sky, my brugs, my house, my cats and whatever I had that pleased me. As far as sucking up, I said please many times.....and offered to send postage ..not sure what else is required..if common courtesy doesnt apply any more..

But thats okay..

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

You should try someone else than Earthling. I have sent out tons of them. I am sure if you ask around you can get someone to be nicer than I obviously am!!

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Kell, good thing you made the rules here. If I were voting I would have to vote a million yeses on your 'Go take a picture now' pic! Dang girl....I'm in love!

Check this out.....here is the contrail (sp) of me heading to your house! LOL

KELL, I can't find the words to tell you how I felt opening my mail today, it was a total surprise and wonderful, you are so generouse, thank you with all my heart((()))
Doris

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Boy Brinda, you are really fast!! I'm glad to see something in your sky picture. How the heck do you vote on pictures that are all blue? LOL! I love the one on the contest thread that has the moon in it too.

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

LOL....I don't know how I would vote either Shirley! Maybe if one of the pics has clouds that looks like a gorgeous hunk of man! Then I would vote on that one! LOL

Oh BTW.....when DH saw me running out back to take a pic of the sky (in a t-shirt and my pajama bottoms....LOL) he just yelled......tell Kell that I will help you pack your bags so maybe you can get to her house sooner! LOLOL I don't think he's a happy camper today! He's cleaning up a million MG vines and mowing and raking leaves while I play on the puter and pretend to be cleaning house! Oh....that reminds me....I better get to cleaning!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh good Doris! I wanted to surprise you. Did the bud make it? I hope so. I wanted you to have your first bloom. Put it in a lot of light if it is still there and hopefully it won't drop. I had it underlights since I cut it. That bud grew under the lights, so it should be OK.

LOL Brinda, your sky is the most interesting yet! When I was little my brother told me people were let off the plane in those. i believed it for years!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Hey Brugie, you all said the last contest was too hard!! I figured everyone had a sky. I forgot that not all would have a camera. I will never get it right. LOL Lets see some Iowa sky.

Brinda, if you clean house, my DH will welcome you with open arms. I am a total domestic failure.

Brinda - "here is the contrail (sp) of me heading to your house!"

Too funny!!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Here is some old Iowa sky. I think this was taken a couple of years ago at roundup time.

Gosh great skies Bj!! Just beautiful.

Doris, I am talking about the small bud on the potted brug not the cutting. Was that still there? That one has a better chance to stay on.

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Well shoot! I might as well cancel my plane ticket! Guess what....I am also a domestic failure. I spend way too much of my time at the office managing 2 companies and crunching figures to want to spend my free time cleaning. Now many years ago, back when everyone was taking phen-phen, hun I could clean a house and do sooooo many tasks! LOL Dang....those were the days! hahahahah (And I was skinny too)

Hopefully Tom can find another DGer to come that will clean! LOL Good Luck!!!

This is me coming home! LOL

Sorry Tom....here's wishing you GOOD LUCK!

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

Sherry in that case I just wanna MOVE IN WITH HER.
kell YES it is still there, looks like a pod?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Gosh Brinda, send that contrail here so I can come to your house for your party!!! I will bring Tom's dirty wash for you to do too!
Check out these. http://www.geocities.com/milo702000/

Kareoke, it is a little bud. It will be mini bloom for you! Will look like the first one in the spring, but like the little one now though it may not be this particular brug. I had 2 different mini's blooming at the same time but they looked very similar in their winter colors.

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

kell that's wonderfull I just keep looking at it as it is in the little greenhouse right next to me

Is it good for them bloom when they're that small?

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

gosh your CA skies are beautiful, we just don't get all that color in our sky, but at least it is a beautiful blue.

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Oh please Kell......you can send Tom, but please don't send the wash! LOL DH and Tom would hit it off! They both think that they live with crazy flower women anyway and they love football! LOL

BTW.....Kell your skies are just beautiful! I tried to hurry home after the game to get a good pic! Our sunset was beautiful....but of course, I didn't make it! I'm gonna get up before the sun in the morning! LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Gee Bj, if I were you I would lie and say one of those sunsets was taken today! LOL. They are just wonderful!!

Doris, I hope they do great for you. You are so hooked. I would spray them all with Neem oil if I were you. None of them had mites that I could see but I have had mites on and off all summer. I treated them here, but I always suggest the receiver treat all new brugs from anyone at least twice, a week apart. I usually take all the leaves off too to help reduce the possibility of mites hopping a ride. But I did not have the heart to do that to your L'Amour! I just hate mites!!

Ok Brinda, you can have Tom. I will keep his wash here. But any new wash he makes, you have to do!

I wanted a good sunset also, but we had a nonevent sinking of the sun!

Pretty pathetic huh? LOL And I just saw Margie's just south of me. I do not understand!!

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

OH KELL, I could just cry, my bud dropped off during the night, yes it is in the mini greenhouse lots of light and temp is 76 BUT the two buds that are on the cuttings are still there, hopefully they will hang on untill they open if I do not disturb them. this is early for me on a Sunday but had to get up and check them out :)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

OHHHHHHHHHHH well it will bud up again!! And now the energy will go into growing the plant bigger which is good.

Hubbard, OR(Zone 8a)

What would it take to get a cutting of Big Yella kell??

Jeremiah

Edited to say that you could just stick it in with my seeds :~)

Gee Jeremiah. This weekend all it took was to post a picture in one of the contests. Off hand, I do not know if you joined in. I f not, I really am so backed up right now I dare not take any more requests. Maybe when I get caught up!

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

Kell, since yours are doing so beautifully, tell us what you fertilize with and how often.....

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

kell one of the buds dropped off during the night, I am realy holding my breath on the second one because even though it is a cutting, and in water it has definately gotten longer since you sent it, maybe, just maybe it will stay long enough to open.
where do you buy the NEEM OIL, guess I will need to go to the city to get it.

Hubbard, OR(Zone 8a)

I totally understand kell. I missed the contests. I will look for them next time. Thanks so much kell.

Jeremiah

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

KELL LOOK, it is growing, and still hangin :) was afraid to take it out of the geenhouse in case I knocked it off.

Gosh Doris, I do not remember it being anywhere near that big when I sent it! Good for you!

I get Neem Oil at Lowes. I know they have it at other nurseries.

Gee Betty, on this one I can't even remember ever fertilizing it. I may have tossed a handful of grass fertilizer on it and a bag of steer manure early spring. And I might have tossed some of that rose systemic that has fertilizer in it around the roots when I had spider mites on one of the plants near it. This one seems to be spider mite resistent. It never has had them, knock on wood! The secret with this one is it is in the ground and loves to sucker!

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

yes kell it has doubled in size, and just barely starting to open on the end, whew :)

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

kell the bud is still hanging, getting longer but not opening, sigh, I will be patient and wait to see what happens, there is also a long green bud on another cutting in water that you sent, does not have roots yet so will keep it water, is that OK.
