Does anyone have a website where they found a great guide for learning how to propagate plants by different methods. I am very new and would like to read up on this. Book suggestions are also welcome, but I am hoping for "FREE" info if possible.
P.S. Also looking for good guides on seed collection and storing.
Thanks

Propagation Methods
I know this is not exactly what you want to hear but this is the best advice I can give you, BUY Dr. Dirr Woody Plant Propagation book. I tried and tried find the information I wanted on the net (didn't know about this place until later) and couldn't find all the information I wanted. Dirr's book is more than worth the money. But also too it will depend on your interest in propagation.
Kayaker....What I usually do, is go to the search box and type in the name of the plant and then put propagation after it. I can usually find what I need to know by that. Here's one site for finding the seed. http://groups.msn.com/Seedswappers/findingtheseed.msnw http://www.mun.ca/univrel/communicator/Sept.99/garden.html What I do is type in the search box......collecting seed......and maybe the plant name. I use my search sometimes 25 times a day, sometimes more. Hope this helps some.
Before purchasing any books I've found that going to the public library & find the section on propagation, planting, gardening & etc & you may get as lucky as I have & get a chance to read it before you buy. You can pull the libraries web site up but it's not to user friendly. Having a membership card # is helpful.
