How and when do I collect seeds from my Missouri Primrose and when is the best time to plant them afterwards?

they reseed by themselves very nicely! but the seed pods will look dry and bust open. this is the tall variety or shorter one?

notmartha I'm not sure but I think they are the shorter ones.
