Need help with my Camellia!!!!

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

I just noticed one of my 4 Camellia has brown leaves that are just sort of curling up. Some have fallen off already. It's like it is slowly spreading down each stem! The one I have planted down from it a little has a few brown leaves starting. The other 2 are fine (so far). What's the deal?! I had the same thing happen to a burford holly in a different part of the yard earlier in the summer. It's like they just fry from the leaves down to the roots- very dry and brown. I haven't done anything different. It kind of looks like a plant that isn't being watered, but mine are! Is this rust, a fungus, what? There are no bugs or visble signs such as black/brown spots. The leaves just turn solid brown, curl, and fall off. I would think if they got too much sun they would have fried along time ago, and certainly wouldn't wait until October to decide they get too much sun. PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks. Jamie

I have something similar happening to my Texas Mountain Laurel, and I lost a Chinese Pistache this year that way too. Both are supposed to be indestructable in Texas, I'm wondering if they are too wet? Its rained a lot lately and this heavy clay doesn't drain the best does it!!

Okus- could be. I did notice it both times after a bunch of rain! :( I am trying a fungicide spray (it's raining again so not right now I'm not) to see what happens. Good luck with yours!

Jame
