Good idea Milan.
Just another note on the original topic though - I think I finally figured out who the unnamed person is (ok, I'm a little slow), but if its who I think it is, said person's missives were so long my eyes crossed trying to read them, so I eventually just skipped them entirely when I saw the name, and therefore missed all the kafuffle. I suspect I'm not alone. If I'm right that is ... lol.
Tired of the insults
I did a search on Google and spent the day reading this person's missives, and shaking my head.
In my other hobby of genealogy, I have run across a few people like this: People of great knowledge who could use their talents to be helpful to others, instead choose to use their expertise to beat people over the head. It's a great mystery to me, but I suspect these folks have something crucial lacking in their lives that makes them behave this way.
These people may know a great deal about a given subject, but if they don't know how to treat people, they will quickly find they have no credibility. But that's THEIR lesson to learn.
Hmmmm here we go,
now I have to tell DG staff to move message 29-39 to a new thread, remove post 40 and give the poster a spanking for mentioning earlier on not to put fuel into a fire to let it burn out but then throws a whole gas can into it afterwards :) :) :) :)
I think I need to get a life myself ;)
A funny gardener often suffering from the well known, commonly seen, yet never caught in time to prevent "Interlockus footaeus intomouthii" syndrom ;)
Milan,
You could suffer from worse things than that!....its only human to have that syndrome every once in awhile....lol
Disclaimer: The following might be offensive to some readers (especially the ones with vivid imaginations). Readers discretion is advised!
I know Sandy, that's why I exercise good hygiene and change socks often. It will not avoid having the syndrome but reduces the aftertaste ;)
Funny how I zoned on your disclaimer Milan....lol....now either this thread will die a fast death or we will be kicked off for it....
Sandy
Thanks guys,
I went out this morning and I found little bumps the color of marigold, orange-yellow. When I looked through my loupe it became obvious they were mites. they seemed large and did not fit descriptions of the mites described in : Insects of the Los Angeles Basin by Charles L. Hogue,
I haven't had time to search web today, I'm just now going on line.Fortunetly, I found them all clustered on one long, perky, brown stem that had 3/4 in, new growth tha looks tender, like it grew overnight. Interesting plant. I also found many little brown bumps (to be leaves, stems?)
Several of these wet looking blobs were large enough to see legs w/o magnification Looking thru loupe I saw some smaller blobs,
with NO legs(?)
I spayed with safer 3 in 1 fungicide (neem) as that is what I had on hand. only the area that had mites.
I read your recipes for insects only last night.
These guys were unlike any mites I've seen before.
Does anyone think I should be more aggressive with these ugly critters?
Thanks,Debbie
Oh come on guys! I haven't figured it out yet. Who was it? I know I shouldn't be nosey but I can't help it! At least tell me where I can read the post(s).
Okay everyone, there will never be insults again. I'm sorry that it even happened. This is why this forum was started in the first place. Norma
Dang it this thread got pushed to top again.
Let this thread rest in peace (or pieces) please.
