Had to share this one nice photo I got of this one this year. If I am lucky I will get seed so I can grow next year, but wanted to log this somewhere besides on my puter :)

Well, you just put a name to a morning glory I had mixed in with "Hatsu Arashi"!! I thought it was "Henka" but it was a little different. Where did you purchase the seeds?Tell me what you think.Looks pretty close.,although this was after a rain

Golgi, I think they are very similar, what kind of leaves does yours have? I think that would be the telling point there :)
Goodness, I need to double check my records to find where these seeds came from, I had geesh probably 100-150 kinds this year, so off top of head no clue! but will look for ya.

Brugie, I agree Blue is an awesome color to find in flowers and really eye catching!! We need a BLUE BRUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, if I could figure out how to make one, I'd be in the laboratory right this minute. LOL!

They are tri-lobed,with some variations,but no"variegation",just green

And while I have you here,I have a problem maybe you can help me with?I have fat green seedpods on lots of my MGs,but our weather has turned cold and rainy and I'm afraid they will not fully ripen.Could I possibly cut apiece of vine and put it in water to ripen?Do they have to fully ripen on the vine? Helpme! It seems like such a waste.

Well Brugie, lets get that lab started!!! LOL

Gail - yup! sounds just like mine! and I am afraid I am in the same boat with the green seed pods, I am trying just that with one of my vines, i just uprooted it, stuffed in mason jar with water and draped on kitchen window, it gets sun nearly all day there, so far 2 pods have turned brown and ripened, HOWEVER, please note that I have not picked them and tested for germination yet! But yes, they have turned brown and are "crinkley" now. The vine is also still growing, dropped some leaves and yet, starting to put out some too. so I know it's still alive :) Hope this helps a little bit. Also I have had people tell me they snip off the fat green pods, lay in cardboard box, and let dry, I am not quite that brave to do all of mine, but did with one kind, and yes they did dry and ripen in the box, and I got good germination, BUT please note they were NOT Japanese ones, just I. purpurea. common ones. So perhaps you would want to experiment with a pod, chop it off and put in cardboard lid or brown paper sack, let dry, open up and then place in a baggie with a damp papertowel to see if it germinates???? And if you do, let me know too please LOL
