Has anyone any idea of what I should do with this pot plant purchased earlier this year and done very well in my glass roofed conservatory in NE England..do I prune it and if so when?

LOL, first off is it a morning glory or a cannibis plant (here in the US, "pot plant" is slang for cannibis)?

LOL, I thought that was what you meant, but who knows. I don't even know if cannibis is illegal to grow in the UK like it is in the US, so I thought I'd ask, LOL. This would be a good question for the Vines & Climbers forum - lots of good feedback there, I'd wager.

If it has produced seeds, I'd save some and start a new plant in the spring. In the mean time, just keep it growing and see what it does unless you need the space.
