So did she believe you????
and did she move all the furniture out to fit it in?
House plant = plant the size of a house?
Root, I love your ear, it's fantastic!!!! Is it an Upee or an EE?? And, the big question is, what do you use on your deck floor - whatever it is, it really looks like it's holding up well!
Kristi, I gotta know how you do that, and, I assume, it was a real ear, huh???
It is super, this forum is filled with surprise after surprise, wow!!!
Here is the picture that got me looking for this one.

WOW ROOT, put me on your list, I am in the same zone as you so I want one that big. how tall are you anyway
Lookin' good root!!! My DH is talking about putting on an addition... a hottub room! I think I could "jungle it up" real good and think the plants would be happier there than in my greenhouse ;)

I'm, 6ft,I may dig the big one today.
Jody, those are awsome....someday I am gunna make some...
Okay, Jody and Kristi, are you using quickcrete, sp?????? Or, what??? Do you cover real leaves???? Enquiring minds want to know!!!
Jody - for me and Shelley221 can you give directions or point us to the directions for making your concrete ears...... yours and Datdog's are so neat..... my ears aren't as big but I'd love to try some......
Maybe Root will let me come pluck some of his ears as he digs them out..... ; - )
Root, I've checked google to purchase the ears, but I'd like to know if you got yours at a nursery that might be online. I bought some caladiums last spring and I was ripped off and I don't want to make the same mistake again. Did you start yours in the spring and how old is the one you are taking inside???? Did you know you can eat that sucker??? You could invite everyone on DG and still have leftovers, whew!!!
This one,I got at the local market for $.30,they do eat them here.
Great leafs Jody! Root mine that I've purchased at the store always look like regular ole ears.
Awesome leaves Jody. What do you use for the base?
Jody, looks like you have a good collection, let me know when you want to Green up that room,I'll have to find something for you,I have seen your list,LOL! So I know it will not be easy!
Root here is the instructions that I first used. Now I just tweak it here and there until I get the mix I like.

Thanks Kristi, boy that Gunnera looks like a nice one to cast,I can only dream on Gunnera.
Doc no need for Gunnera. Do you have the Rice Paper plant? Here is one that I casted with some left over cement I had. If you need a start of it, let me know. I've got tons and it survives my winter. The leaves are HUGE! I must have gotten the giant strain of it.
I'll take a picture of it growing in my front bed a little later for you. Right now the painters are outside. Don't want them thinking I'm any weirder then I already am.
