Positive thoughts/energy requested.

A local family could use lots of postive thought/energy/prayers. So heartbreaking - their only child (19 year old son) was seriously injured in a car accident several weeks ago. He had severe brain damage and isn't doing well. The mother is disabled. I still remember this "little" freckled boy when he had a crush on my dd in 4th grade. Thanks!

Ack! How much pain can one family take? They've got my heart.

Hi Jewel,

I'm sending all the positive energy and prayers I can their way. I do know what they are going through. My nephew, also 19, was hit by a car four weeks ago. He was lucky though, he had no brain or spinal damage.

I do hope he and his family all the well wishes/prayers/positive energy there is. It is a long ordeal to go through.

My son was injured in a car accident 3 years ago. He had what is known as Traumatic Brain Injury. It was hell for 2 1/2 of the three yrs, but now he is on his own, working and almost 100%. It is very important for your friend to find out about TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). A lot of neurologists, psychologists and general doctors do not even know it exists! It took 10 months to find out that my son had it and then he was able to start improving almost immediately with therapy of several kinds. I don't know what the injury your friends' son has had, but if it's anything like TBI, tell them to find someone who knows all about it! Or to contact the TBI Association for a physician referral in your area. I would be happy to have them contact me, so I give you permission to give them my e-mail addy. My prayers and positive energies are being sent your way. Please keep a
little 7 yr. old boy from our town in your
prayers also. He was hit by a car this past Thurs. while riding his bike. He is in ICU and they don't think he will recover, so much swelling of the brain....one never knows even in a small little town like Collinsville.

I am so saddened to hear about this. My prayers and positive energies are with this young child and his family. I do hope he makes a full recovery. Miracles do happen sometimes!
