Candle Tree Leaves Curling...

My poor candle tree was doing so great - and suddenly the leaves began to curl and some are looking yellowed a bit. I've noticed some ants on the plant, but could they be causing the curl of the leaf? I don't want to lose it!

THis is fascinating because I have had something quite similar happening to a young Empress Tree. The only input I have gotten thus far is that I may have inadvertently spread some of the lawn weed/feed on/near the tree. Otherwise it is quite healthy - very dark, large green leaves, etc., no sign of bugs, aphids, etc. So....
