Passifloras blooming in Saskatchewan :D

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Well they say cearula is a good fertile one,but if you have incarnata of morifola, these are the best, and are the ones I'm using.

Thanks Don.....now I've got to talk my silly incanata into flowering. Do you fertilize yours? And, if you do, what with???

May I please butt in for a moment? I have two Passion flower vines. One my neighbor gave me in a nice pot which I sat next to my big cabbage palm. I thought I would put it in the ground later. Now it has completely overgrown the palm tree and is running high up in an Oak tree. The roots have grown through the bottom of the pot, appparently to China! BUT...no blooms!
The other came from a piece my daughter pulled up out of her yard. I didn't think it would live, so I stuck it down in a container of sweet potato vine. Poor thing climbed up into a pot of trailing Lantana, sad wimpy looking vine. BUT....it is so full of blooms and buds it just glows. WHY?

Good question, Pati! Looking forward to the response. It/they will apply to some of my questions about this intriguing plant, as well.

Take a picture of the one with buds and blooms. Then take a picture of the leaves of the one that doesn't bloom.Once you post them we can identify the plant and can provide an answer.

You obviously haven't seen the results of my camera work. LOL As soon as I charge up the batteries I will TRY to get a decent picture. While I'm at it, I may as well take one of the Red Passi that the neighbors trim with machetes. Since I don't have one, it has grown into the shed overhang and has completely devoured my son's old motorcycle and is starting on his boat. This monster grows AND blooms. The neighbors and I aren't really sure who's yard the original plant is in.

Don't get real close, just enough so we can see the shape of the leaves. The flower, the same, a close up isn.t needed.

Thanks for the advice. Now the batteries are charging, and if the rain holds off I'll be back soon.

It may depend on whether they get the same amount of sun, water and fertilizer,I been feeding mine,10-60-10 shultz bloom buster, one week, and 20-20-20 peters the next week.

Citrus Heights, CA(Zone 9b)

I do the same only 10-52-10 and then 10-15-10 but mine are in containers.

I've got to beg a local greenhouse to bring some of the Peters in. One greenhouse here used to carry and would sell a portion to me.....they've since closed down and nothing else seems to work as good as it.

All any of the stuff is the same . I have schultz and miracle-gro and they have the same ratio.
