This sport should open soon
Albino
It looks like a poinsettia!!!
That is so cute. Too bad it probably wouldn't live on it's own. Would make a cool plant for a special place. Everything looks great Bob.
Gosh Root, the picture is cut off at the bottom, what is it?
Sure is pretty?
:)
Dee
Willow,it is a sport growing from the root of Maya.
I know mama loves her little pup! Wonder if it will stay that color if you leave it alone??????
Oh, Ok, So why don't yall think it will live? Do they usually expire if they are a sport? Sorry I guess I don't really know what a sport is?
:o)
Dee
It does not have enough green in the leaf to support life.
I was not thinking LOL
Wow, that's really weird. Too bad it can't make it on its own. Could it survive indefinitely as part of the mamma plant?
Root -- that's pretty interesting. I didn't think that they'd get that big, even living off the mama plant! And the fact that its going to bloom -- too cool! Can't wait to see the open blossom ... Gretchen
Hey, Root... Looks like it needs some "B1"...... :)~
Sorry, folks... inside joke....lol
I shouldn't be admitting this in an open forum with my DW nearby but I've always had a soft spot for "blondes"....lol I love it...
that's to cool Root. Post when blooms
Oh my gosh, Root. How neat!!!!
I'm excited to see it bloom. I think it's so cool!
Thanks all,it is neat,it has the green streaks on the bloom, like momma.
Hey Tark,I put some pics up for ya in Trops.
It does look like a poinsetta. How cool and she is going to bloom. I also thought that she wouldn't make it even attached to Mama, let alone bloom. Very interesting.
Very cool rooty!!
That is so awesome! Can't wait to see pics of the blooms. That is so cool!!
Wow, Root. Can't wait to see the bloom on it.
Bob, I can't believe it is going to bloom--Very interested to see the bloom. Please don't forget to save the pollen!!!!!!!
Thanks, Doc Heading over there now.....
that is really neat, root!they never cease to fascinate me.
It will be interesting to see if the flower is pure white (albino) or if it gets some color.
Root, you have the magic touch.......and you have corrupted my Hubby...lol
Hmmmm.... Tark, what was that about blondes?.... :)
That is amazing. Can't wait to see it bloom. Your yard is a beauty.
Blessings,
Sandy
It is amazing, that it is still alive. Usually they die after being seperated from the motherplant.
She is still hooked to Mother plant Monika,Tracey told me not to cut it loose,so I didn't.
Yep S_D,you will be fighting for garden space soon,I bet Tark buys a new tiller,LOL!
rootdoctor:
Are the flowers on the momma pale yellow or white?
Mother nature loves to throw us a curve, just when we think we know what we're doing.
HeHe.
Jay
Blooms on Momma just opened last night,I will check for color today.
Interesting sport, Root. I love it when Mother Nature does her own thing!
Keep us posted!
Hi Bob i grow a hosta called white trobuel but in the summer it gets green leaves without that greening process it will die but such a beautiful plant even with a flower Bob
That's really wild looking Root. I wonder if you have the first ever albino sport with a bloom?
Hi Root, did you do something special to get it that way?
Cool. I wonder if the bloom will get color. Sure would look great with a peach colored bloom.
Nope George, same as all the others.
Gretchen,Datdog had one sport and has a great colored bloom.I can not remember the name right now.
She got a green sport and named it Mayan Magic, I think.
Wow! That just looks unreal! Congrats on getting her to bloom!
