any hydrangea people out there

dont know what to do i live in kingston ny zone 5 i want to buy 5 hydrangeas for a driveway and a stone walll so it will sort of spill over okay contaceted frank from nantucket gardens and he said that oakleaf hydrangeas dont bloom welll up north here he suggested the paniculata variety seem to think the oakleaf is more cascading is this true any ideas on this one any suggestions from experience would be appreciated thanks peggy
