Who am I?

Brooksville, FL(Zone 9a)

Hi - I posted this in the ID forum, but so far no one can ID - I thought maybe someone here might have missed it in that forum, so I'm posting here, too, just in case - --

Anyone have any ideas what this vine is?

It has heart shaped leaves and opens in the AM, closes in the PM, like a morning glory . ..

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Onalee,
I grow this too. The name is jacquemontia tamnifolia, aka small morning glory or hairycluster vine. It really is cute, isn't it?

Thank you Mudpies! It is SOOO cute! I can't thank you enough for the id! Excellent!

I assume you wait for those seed clusters to dry like you do regular morning glories before harvesting? Any trick to it?

Thanks!!

Hi Onalee,
no idea on the seeds. This is my first year & mine are still blooming. Guess we will find out together. ;~) Glad I was able to help.

Yep, just like the morning glory, wait until the casing holding the seeds (pods?) turn a light brown, then the seeds are yours for planting. I have been growing these for about three years now.
