My new fav perennial . Beautiful 4" bright yellow cup shaped blooms . Even the buds are pretty being pale green with red speckles.
My dilemma is "Where are the seeds ???"
O.Sundrop is the one on the left
Ozark Sundrops
I don't know where the seeds are, but those photos are beautiful!
TY *blush*
Scooter, I grow them as well. The seed pods develop well after the flower is spent. The spent flowers are so ugly that I tend to pull them all, but every once in a while I leave one behind in error. the pods are long, fruit like things hiding in the foliage. Check the back of your plant for pods you may have missed in deadheading. It takes a while for them to develop, so you may want to just stop deadheading this late in the season.
I agree with you. One of my favorite perrenials. Will keep on producing well into cool weather, too.
Whee !
Thank You leisurlee ;-D
I will do as you say. Until I found this at a small country greenhouse , I had not heard of them.
Hope I can have a lot growing next year.
Shirley
