august update
Obviously that was the big news for August - the first bloom on the brugs. Two of them are loaded with buds - can't wait.
Here is one of the Queenie series Hollyhocks - seed from POD. Very pleased with these.
More later - have to go to work now and get the car fixed and all kinds of things.

That is oriental expression ( a freebie with a botanus order and quite lovely) next to my barrel and your water lilies Pam.
I'm pleased with that group of pots this year. Dichondra silver falls, amaranthus, viola, purple salvia, heliotrope, livingstone daisy
That is the city boulevard transformed. Geranium, a perennial salvia, blue fescue and volunteer straw flowers from last year. See the bonus you get when you aren't a tidy clean it all up fall gardener LOL
More of the boulevard bed. Green cat in the foreground, purple majesty millet, purple fountain grass, japonica. Hey I am getting better about my names Echoes.
The one and only passion vine seed that germinated. Oops upside down - tilt your head and get your excercise.

My sweet willies and the frog in the bath
Thunbergia that has taken forever to bloom. Like the new coral shade from SA Also the eyeball plant from POD. This had been our most fun new novelty plant this year.

The gully this year. Managed to trim enough trees last fall that there is enough sun for the lilies to bloom this year.

I had to grin looking at your H20 lilies Lynn they are growing very well. Here mine are moving very slow...our temps have been so up and down this year. That freebie is very, very pretty!!
Your yard has been a real treat to the eyes....I've never seen Love Lies Bleeding look so grand. I will have to get the Blushing/Coral Shaded Suzie next year! Your baby passie has also done very well. :D

About the Sweet Willy. I was in the city park garden last night and noticed on a label, 'Sweet William hybrid barbatus X chinesis'. Would that make it an annual? Maybe some are perennial, depending what they are crossed with. I think they are quite promiscuous.
