Newbie questions about brug characteristics

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

And you are handsome Kyle!
Sherrylike, click on his homepage, there is a picture of him. Of course he lied about his age though.
Typical narcissistic plantsman.
LOL! Just kidding Kyle, you know we all love you.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Liz....I AM 51!! :-)

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

But Kyle, do you feel like you're 51?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I know Kyle and he is just as nice and kind as you can imagine. I never think about how old he is because I'm so much older. He will always be a good friend. I love when he comes to visit. We can always talk flowers, hours of it, and my husband doesn't understand. Now, he would talk to me all day if it was about stocks and bonds or politics.............boring!! Back to Kyle, you all should have the opportunity to meet him. He is a great guy.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Your homepage says 48, Kyle. You will always be 48 here. lol

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

OOOPS! Guess I need to update that info!! Thats when I first came on here. I feel 25..well most of the time..its just those mirrors around the house! They Lie to me! Say you so old!!LOL :-)

Raleigh, NC(Zone 7b)

Kyle, a Martian year is 1.837 Earth years, so as long as you don't mention the time scale you can say you are only 27.

N.C. Mts., NC(Zone 6b)

WOW, you are handsome!!! Love your brugs.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

AAHH my fans! How they love me..LOL LOL :-)

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Ah, we are fans ;~}
And we'll love you even more when you post your favorite heat resistant, released brugs!
(Sorry Kyle, I'm really curious and needy)

Please????????????????????????????????????

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

It is love Kyle to death today I see. Hey I am in on that! LOL

Tom, Susie says to look in your spam folder for her email to you. I was supposed to email you but my AOL is giving me great trouble for days now. Some emails get out after 10 to 20 minutes and some do not. None are saved to my outbox to tell me which. I am in AOL! Anyway, your server does not like hers.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Forget the mirrors, Kyle. You're only as old as you feel. LOL

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

And a quite handsome 51 you are Mr. Kyle Sir. I'm with ahelms, forget the mirrors, you are as young as you feel. I never would have guessed that by your picture, AT ALL Kyle.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

:-) Viola I'll try to get a list posted this weekend......

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Vi, I was just wondering that this afternoon. Has anyone put together a list of those brugs that can take the southern heat and humidity? It would be great if they were also mite and cat resistant.

And Kyle, there's no doubt about it, you are quite a handsome man (whatever age).

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Linda, the closest I've seen is the 'Brug Reviews' forum on BGI, have you seen it?

Abads has their super-nice database also, but not as many folks from different climates have reported on each brug.

Hope this helps--I'm trying to learn too!

San Diego, CA(Zone 10a)

Kyle you are awesome and I like reading your posts! Kyle you are more than an expert expert . I am a newbie and just starting out or trying to be a gardener and WOW Kyle, Brugie, Kell, Calalily, Monika just to mention a few are experts by just reading their posts here at DG.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Halaman..fly me to San Diego and I'll show you how to do your garden! :-)
I always went to Walter Anderson nursery on Enterprise st and Mission Hills nursery.

San Diego, CA(Zone 10a)

Kyle I don't think I can afford your expertise, but who knows someday I might win the lotto and fly all of you guys here in SD. It's at Walter Anderson nursery at Poway last April that I first saw these beautiful angel trumpets and since then I started searching the internet and found Dave's garden and I am hooked eversince! MavieRose gave me a dozen different cuttings about a month ago and I watch them grow everyday. I checked everyone of them before I leave for work in the morning and when I get back in the afternoon. Mavie said SD is a very good place to grow Brugs and I will not have any problem. I hope she is right, she is a great coach and a very sweet and generous person.

Halaman, San Diego is without a doubt a perfect place to grow brugs...as these two pics indicate. One tree on Lincoln ave, the other on Laurel at 1st st.

Wow I live up north of SD and about 25 miles away from those beautiful brugs! I guess I will visit these streets. With my limited knowledge I will guess the first pic is a frosty pink and the second is a Dr zeuss?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I think the first one is Ecuador Pink. Beautiful trees.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Wow,you would need a chainsaw to get cuttings.

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)
