The third of my 'class of their own' brugs. Another Monika seedling from last year. Note the very dark color. It hasn't reached that color yet this year. We have had major weather fluctuations over the last month. I'm hoping it will darken more in August.

This was on my wish list last year and unfortunately, it is still there. LOL! She is a beauty. Monika has sure shared some wonderful seeds.

There is a reason beyond my posting pretty brugs though. A few years ago here we were discussing one of Monika's beautiful brugs and someone asked me if I thought we could all do the same. My answer was that we simply didn't have the brugs genes over here. There was a small gene pool full of suaveolens. Monika's greatest gift to us is providing the genes to us so that we can move ahead. Pretty in Pink is an x candida and Starlight is a pure aurea. White Knight is an aurea x candida. So these are special to me not only because they are lovely plants but because Monika has provided us with the tools to make our own beauties.
For this I'll be forever grateful.
A great teacher always supplies her students with the proper tools to learn.

A big Thank You to Monika. Shirley, I've loved that brug since the first day she posted it. I can get 5 people in my Explorer. I'll pick up Tracey, you and Root. We've got room for one more if we leave the kids behind!

I really like this one! It has such a rich, vibrant pink color and big, perfectly formed flowers. We all owe Monika a huge debt of gratitude for sending over her seeds, so that we can enjoy brugs like this in North America rather than just dreaming about them.
